Random camping sites stir controversy

The distribution of the current winter camping sites has caused widespread astonishment among campers, as complaints continue due to the random distribution of camps to which they were exposed during the current season by the Ministry of Municipality, as a large number of citizens were distributed to sites that do not suit them after they have been camping in specific locations for the past years, demanding that the Ministry of Municipality adopt the camping sites where they camp every year.

During the current season, some sites are not reserved and at the same time the campers have been distributed to sites in other areas far from them, which may deprive them of camping this year, knowing that they are camping in the sites according to the coordinates adopted by the Ministry of Municipality several years ago, yet they have been granted other alternative sites this year.

Al-Sharq received complaints from a number of citizens, who demanded anonymity, during which they said that after contacting the ministry of municipality to find out why their camping places were changed this year, the justifications were not convincing, as the municipality attributed the reason for this to the limited marine and land places that have been in high demand by the campers, and because of this the system converts them to other locations because there are places there.

They explained that the municipality invited them to file complaints on the complaint line “184” to consider their complaint after all matters and stages of registration and camping have been completed and matters clarified to the Ministry of Municipality further so that they give each citizen his usual position in case of certainty that there are no projects on the site.

The Ministry of Municipality invited them to pay the due fees and the amount of insurance and to reserve the sites to which they were transferred, and then to consider requests for their return to their previous locations if they are suitable with the requirements and no projects are being implemented near or on them, where the site granted to them would be cancelled if three days went by and the amount of fees and insurance was not paid.

It should be noted that the Ministry of Municipality carried out random distribution without conducting a survey on previous camping sites, and made sure that any projects were set up on them or if they were inhabited by the camps, which led them to change locations this season without referring to the campers, to give those who were camping in Umm Al Afaei new sites in Rawdat Rashid, as well as those who were camping in the Marina were given sites in Sealine, which confirms the distribution chaos occurring with the municipality.

A number of citizens called on the concerned authorities represented by the Ministry of Municipality to return campers to the locations where they used to camp for years, as some of them had been camping at the same site for 10 years and were surprised this year by changing the camping site without their knowledge, stressing that if the situation continues as it is, a large number of citizens, including the elderly, will be deprived of enjoying the camping season this year because of their distribution to sites far away from their areas of residence.

أثار توزيع مواقع التخييم الشتوي الحالي استغراباً واسعاً وسط المخيمين، إذ لا تزال الشكاوى متواصلة بسبب توزيع المخيمات العشوائي الذي تعرضوا له خلال الموسم الحالي من قبل وزارة البلدية، حيث أن عدد كبير من المواطنين تم توزيعهم على مواقع لا تناسبهم وذلك بعد أن اعتادوا على التخييم في مواقع محددة طيلة السنوات الماضية، مطالبين وزارة البلدية اعتماد مواقع التخييم التي يخيمون فيها كل عام.

وخلال الموسم الحالي هناك بعض المواقع غير محجوزة وفي الوقت نفسه تم توزيع المخيمين على مواقع في مناطق أخرى بعيدة عنهم، وهو ما قد يحرمهم من التخييم هذا العام، مع العلم أنهم يخيمون في المواقع بحسب الإحداثيات التي اعتمدتها وزارة البلدية منذ عدة سنوات، وبالرغم من ذلك تم منحهم مواقع أخرى بديلة هذا العام.

الشرق تلقت شكاوى عدد من المواطنين، طالبوا بعدم ذكر أسماءهم ، قالوا خلالها أنهم وبعد التواصل مع وزارة البلدية لمعرفة سبب تغيير اماكن تخييمهم هذا العام كانت المبررات غير مقنعة، حيث البلدية أرجعت سبب ذلك إلى محدودية الأماكن البحرية والبرية التي عليها ضغط من قبل المخيمين، وبسبب ذلك يقوم النظام بتحويلهم إلى مواقع أخرى نظرا لوجود اماكن فيها.

وأوضحوا أن البلدية دعتهم إلى تقديم شكاوى على خط الشكاوى رقم “184” للنظر في شكواهم بعد الانتهاء من كافة الأمور ومراحل التسجيل والتخييم واتضاح الأمور أمام البلدية بشكل أكبر حتى يقوموا بمنح كل مواطن موقعه المعتاد في حال التأكد من عدم وجود أي مشاريع قائمة بالموقع.

ودعتهم وزارة البلدية إلى دفع الرسوم المستحقة ومبلغ التأمين وحجز المواقع التي تم نقلهم إليها، ومن ثم النظر في طلبات إرجاعهم إلى مواقعهم السابقة في حال مطابقتها للاشتراطات وعدم قيام مشاريع بالقرب منها أو عليها، حيث سيتم إلغاء الموقع الممنوح لهم في حال مضي 3 أيام ولم يتم فيها دفع مبلغ الرسوم والتأمين.

تجدر الإشارة إلى أن وزارة البلدية قامت بالتوزيع العشوائي دون إجراء مسح على مواقع التخييم السابقة، والتأكد من إقامة أي مشاريع عليها أو إن كانت مأهولة بالمخيمات، مما دفعها إلى تغيير المواقع هذا الموسم دون الرجوع إلى المخيمين، ليتم منح من كانوا يخيمون في أم الأفاعي مواقع جديدة في روضة راشد، وكذلك من كانوا يخيمون في المارينا تم إعطاؤهم مواقع في سيلين، وهو ما يؤكد على فوضى التوزيع الحاصلة لدى البلدية.

وناشد عدد من المواطنين الجهات المعنية ممثلة بوزارة البلدية اعادة المواطنين إلى مواقع مخيماتهم التي اعتادوا التخييم فيها منذ عدة سنوات، حيث إن منهم من كان يخيم في نفس الموقع منذ عشر سنوات وفوجئ هذا العام بتغيير موقع تخييمه دون علمه، مؤكدين ان استمر الوضع على ما هو عليه سوف يُحرم عدد كبير من المواطنين من بينهم كبار سن من الاستمتاع بموسم التخييم هذا العام بسبب توزيعهم على مواقع بعيدة جدا عن مناطق سكنهم.
