First edition of National Day Trade Festival achieves great success

The Ministry of Commerce and Industry, in cooperation with the National Tourism Council, concluded the first edition of the National Day Trade Festival yesterday which was organised as part of Qatar’s National Day celebrations.

The first edition of the festival was a great success, with significant participation from 14 malls and over 600 outlets and companies, through the launch of huge and unprecedented discounts in the retail, hospitality, leisure, and education sectors in addition to clinics, medical centers, beauty centers, and service companies among other institutions.

The private sector companies and organisations that participated in the festival included all trade and service sectors such as shopping malls, restaurants, retail outlets, beauty salons, hospitality service providers, hotels, sport clubs, health and beauty centers and institutes, and entertainment centers.

The front windows of participating outlets and companies bore the National Day Trade Festival logo label which was designed specifically for this event and distributed to participants free of charge.

Through the festival, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry and the National Tourism Council achieved their objective of supporting the private sector and boosting demand across the retail sector.

The festival has stimulated trade across local markets, contributed to the country’s economy, enhanced internal and external tourism, and created an environment conducive to the growth of the trade sector.

This initiative aligns with the Ministry’s efforts to organise yearly events that reflect pride in Qatar’s National Day celebrations, and which strengthen the values of loyalty and pride in belonging to the country and its wise leadership. The Ministry also sought to bolster trade activity across all markets by offering retail outlets the opportunity to offer outstanding promotions, thus enabling citizens and residents to benefit from discounts during this period.

اختتمت وزارة التجارة والصناعة اليوم، فعاليات النسخة الأولى من (مهرجان اليوم الوطني التجاري)، الذي أقيم على مدار 6 أيام بالتعاون مع المجلس الوطني للسياحة، وضمن إطار احتفالات الدولة باليوم الوطني.

وحقق المهرجان بنسخته الأولى نجاحا باهرا، حيث حظي بمشاركة واسعة من قبل الشركات والمؤسسات والمحلات التجارية في الدولة، إذ شارك 14 مجمعا تجاريا، بالإضافة إلى أكثر من 600 متجر وشركة في إقامة عروض وتنزيلات وتخفيضات غير مسبوقة، من قطاعات التجزئة والضيافة والترفيه والتعليم وعيادات ومراكز طبية، ومراكز تجميل وشركات الخدمات وغيرها.

وقد حققت وزارة التجارة والصناعة والمجلس الوطني للسياحة هدفهما من المهرجان والذي تمثل بدعم القطاع الخاص وتعزيز الطلب في قطاع التجزئة، حيث ساهم المهرجان بشكل فعال في تنشيط الحركة التجارية بالسوق المحلي ودعم اقتصاد الدولة، وتنشيط السياحة الداخلية والخارجية، وخلق بيئة تساهم في تعزيز نمو القطاع التجاري.

وتسعى وزارة التجارة والصناعة في كل عام لتجسيد معاني الاحتفاء والاعتزاز باليوم الوطني وتسهم بترسيخ قيم الولاء والانتماء لوطننا وقيادته الرشيدة حيث تعمل الوزارة على تنشيط الحركة التجارية في أسواق الدولة من خلال إتاحة الفرصة للمحلات التجارية لتقديم عروض ترويجية متميزة وتمكين المواطنين والمقيمين من الاستفادة من التخفيضات خلال هذه الفترة.
