WhatsApp to convert voice messages to text

WhatsApp is developing a new feature in the iOS operating system, which will allow voice messages to be converted via their app, into text.
According to a report by technology news website WABetaInfo, WhatsApp develops the feature to provide written copies of the voice messages received, allowing you to read what has been said easily without having to play it out loud.
It is not yet clear when the beta version of WhatsApp will arrive for iPhone users or when this feature will reach the Android operating system.
The feature works by sending speech data to Apple servers, rather than WhatsApp or Facebook, the owner of the instant messaging service.
So far, the feature is still not available to the public, but only in developer beta.

ووفقا لتقرير موقع WABetaInfo المختص بأخبار التكنولوجيا، فإن “واتساب” يطور الميزة لتقديم نسخ مكتوبة للرسائل الصوتية المستلمة، ما يتيح قراءة ما قيل بسهولة دون الحاجة إلى تشغيله بصوت عال.
ومن غير الواضح حتى الآن متى سيصل الإصدار التجريبي من “واتسآب” لمستخدمي “آيفون” أو متى ستصل هذه الميزة إلى نظام التشغيل “أندرويد”.
وتعمل الميزة عن طريق إرسال بيانات الكلام إلى خوادم “آبل”، بدلا من خوادم “واتسآب” أو “فيسبوك”، مالك خدمة المراسلة الفورية.
وحتى الآن، ما تزال الميزة غير متوفرة للجمهور، ولكن فقط في الإصدار التجريبي للمطورين.
