Doha: As summer enters, the vast majority of people think about summering on beaches and gaining that color that reflects a summer trip, but some groups that are unlucky to travel resort to tanning sessions known as tanning devices available in a number of salons and massage centers, but the vast majority do not realize the risks posed by these devices and even the risk of tanning intended by most young people, which doubles each time a person is exposed to the sun or tanning sessions.
In this context, a number of doctors warned against direct exposure to sunlight, exposure to tanning devices that cause skin problems beginning with freckles and sunspots to early aging and ending with skin cancers, as well as the side effects they have on the eye.
Doctors surveyed by Al-Sharq advised to avoid tanning devices because of UV rays that contribute to skin pigmentation, calling on those who want to gain tan to expose themselves to sunlight for minutes not more than 25 minutes for dark skin people and 20 minutes for white skin people to protect it from burns, with the importance of using anti-sunlight creams, and using original sunglasses that contain filters that protect the eye from the risk of sun exposure, with the need to drink water to compensate for fluid loss during sweating.

الدوحة: مع دخول فصل الصيف يتبادر للأذهان لدى الغالبية العظمى من الناس الاصطياف على شواطئ البحر واكتساب ذلك اللون الذي ينم عن رحلة صيفية بامتياز، إلا أن بعض الفئات التي لا يحالفها الحظ في السفر، يلجأون إلى جلسات تسمير بواسطة أجهزة التسمير التي تعرف بـ “التاننج” المتوفرة في عدد من الصالونات ومراكز المساج، إلا أنَّ الغالبية العظمى لا يدركون حجم المخاطر التي تخلِّفها هذه الأجهزة بل وخطر التسمير الذي يقصده أغلب الشباب والفتيات، والذي يتضاعف في كل مرَّة يقوم فيها الشخص سواء بالتعرض للشمس أو التعرض لجلسات التسمير أو “التاننج”.
وفي هذا السياق حذر عدد من الأطباء من مغبة التعرض لأشعة الشمس بصورة مباشرة، والتعرض لأجهزة التسمير التي تسبب مشاكل جلدية تبدأ بالنمش والكلف وصولا للشيخوخة المبكرة وتنتهي بسرطانات الجلد، إلى جانب الآثار الجانبية التي تخلفها على العين.
ونصح الأطباء الذين استطلعت آراءهم “الشرق” بضرورة تجنب أجهزة التسمير لتركيز الأشعة فوق النفسجية التي تسهم في تَصبغ البشرة، داعين من لديهم رغبة في اكتساب لون التعرض لأشعة الشمس لدقائق لا تزيد على 25 دقيقة بالنسبة لذوي البشرة السمراء، و20 دقيقة لذوي البشرة البيضاء لحمايتها من الحروق، مع أهمية استخدام الكريمات المضادة لأشعة الشمس، واستخدام النظارات الشمسية الأصلية لاحتوائها على فلاتر تجنب العين خطر التعرض للشمس، مع ضرورة شرب المياه لتعويض فقدان السوائل خلال التعرق.
