Truth of the rumors about cupping and the Covid vaccine

Doha: Dr. Zainab Abu Bakr al-Musleh, a member of the Committee of Complementary Medicine and a researcher in the field of cupping, confirmed that cupping has become recognized locally and internationally and can be integrated into government medical institutions in the future.

On recent rumors about cupping and corona vaccine, Dr. Al-Musleh expressed her sadness at a post about the presence of a toxicity percentage in the Corona vaccine, which can be disposed of through cupping in the vaccination site.

It was sad to reach that level and circulate such false rumours, stressing that this was contrary to scientific facts and that rumours should not be heeded.

Dr. Al-Musleh pointed out that the person is supposed to be committed to the ethics of the profession because he is a practitioner and licensed by the Ministry of Health and if he does not have a license he must seek it by entering courses accredited locally and internationally and must draw news from its responsible, official and reliable sources in order to avoid exposure to rumors spread especially on social media.

وحول الشائعات التي انتشرت مؤخرا عن الحجامة ولقاح كورونا، عبرت الدكتورة المصلح عن حزنها على ما جاء في أحد المنشورات حول وجود نسبة سمية في لقاح كورونا يمكن التخلص منها عن طريق الحجامة في موضع التطعيم.

وأضافت أنه من المحزن الوصول الى هذا المستوى وتداول مثل هذه الشائعات المغلوطة، مؤكدة أن ذلك مخالف للحقائق العلمية، مشددة على أنه يجب عدم الالتفات للشائعات.

وأشارت د.المصلح إلى أنه من المفروض أن يكون الشخص ملتزما بأخلاقيات المهنة كونه ممارسا لها ومرخصا من وزارة الصحة وان لم يكن يحمل ترخصيا فيجب ان يسعى للحصول عليه من خلال الدخول في دورات معتمدة محلياً ودولياً ويجب استقاء الأخبار من مصادرها المسؤولة والرسمية الموثوقة تفاديا للتعرض للشائعات المنتشرة خاصة في وسائل التواصل الاجتماعي.
