Ashghal Wins European Award as an “Outstanding Organization”

Doha: The Public Works Authority ‘Ashghal’ has achieved the “Recognized for Excellence – Three stars” awarded by EFQM as an “Outstanding Organization”. Ashghal is the first governmental entity of the sort to achieve this recognition under the new improved “EFQM 2020” model in the region.

This award proves Ashghal’s ability to carry out project works and development under challenging circumstances. It is worth noting that this is a prestigious award that has been awarded to a number of leading institutions internationally. This award also confirms Ashghals’ journey of improvement in focusing on customers and partners satisfaction, improved quality of output, enhanced operational efficiency and effectiveness, cost saving and overall performance improvement.

Ashghal earned the “Recognised for Excellence three Stars” award after a week-long assessment by a team of specially-trained and licensed assessors from EFQM. The assessment represents the outcome of efforts to adopt continuous improvement as a culture and business norm of Ashghal, serving and adding value to the projects and services provided.

In this context, HE President of the Public Works Authority Ashghal Dr. Eng. Saad bin Ahmed Al Muhannadi declared that such achievement comes in line with the authority’s motto Qatar deserves the best, as it is a step in Ashghals journey towards excellence, and evidence of our sustained development and improvement in all aspects of the authoritys business. It also reflects Ashghal’s commitment to provide the best to its customers and the public of Qatar and its mandate to raise its operational efficiency.

The Manager of Planning and Quality Department in Ashghal Eng. Jamal Sharida Al Kaabi said: “This recognition strengthens Ashghal’s reputation for high operational standards, which has been built over the years. In the last four years, Ashghal developed and improved over 300 operational processes and 22 corporate policies in addition to elevating its measuring, monitoring and evaluation approaches that helped in the provision of factual evidence for superior performance that rises up to challenges.”

الدوحة: حصلت هيئة الأشغال العامة /أشغال/ على شهادة /التميز – مستوى ثلاث نجوم/ من المؤسسة الأوروبية لإدارة الجودة /EFQM/ كهيئة متميزة، وبذلك تكون أول جهة حكومية في قطر والمنطقة تحصل على هذا التكريم في إطار نموذج /EFQM 2020/ المطور الجديد.

وتتمثل أهمية هذا التكريم في تأكيد قدرة /أشغال/ على مواصلة الأعمال والتطور في ظل ظروف متغيرة وصعبة، وهي شهادة مرموقة تم منحها لعدد من المؤسسات الدولية ذات المستوى العالمي. كما تؤكد الشهادة على تفوق /أشغال/ في تحسين التركيز على رضا العملاء والشركاء، وتحسين جودة الخدمات المقدمة، وتحسين الكفاءة والفعالية التشغيلية، وتوفير التكاليف وتحسين الأداء بشكل عام.

وقد حصلت /أشغال/ على شهادة التميز بعد تقييم دام أسبوعا كاملا من قبل فريق مقيمين متخصصين ومعتمدين، حيث شمل التقييم رصد جهود جميع الإدارات في التطوير المستمر كثقافة ومعيار عمل بالهيئة ودور هذا التطوير في تحسين جودة الحياة للجمهور بشكل عام.

وبهذه المناسبة، أكد سعادة الدكتور المهندس سعد بن أحمد المهندي، رئيس هيئة الأشغال العامة /أشغال/ أن هذا الإنجاز يأتي تماشيا مع شعار الهيئة بأن /قطر تستحق الأفضل/ ويعد ذلك خطوة جدية في رحلة التميز التي تسير بها الهيئة، ودليلا على الاستمرار في طريق التطوير والتحسين المستمر في جميع جوانب أعمال الهيئة، كما يعكس التزام /أشغال/ تجاه خدمة العملاء والجمهور بتقديم الأفضل ورفع الكفاءة التشغيلية.

بدوره، قال المهندس جمال شريدة الكعبي، مدير إدارة التخطيط والجودة في /أشغال/ إن هذا التكريم يعزز من سمعة الهيئة فيما يتعلق بالمعايير التشغيلية العالية والتي تم بناؤها على مدار السنوات الأربع الماضية، حيث قامت الهيئة بتطوير وتحسين أكثر من 300 عملية تشغيلية و22 سياسة مؤسسية، بالإضافة إلى الارتقاء بمنهجيات القياس والمراقبة والتقييم التي ساعدت على تقديم الأدلة الواقعية للأداء المتفوق الذي يرتقي إلى مستوى التحديات.
