Arab League Commends Arab Efforts to Support Palestinians

Cairo: The General Secretariat of the Arab League praised the role played by several Arab countries, including the State of Qatar, in supporting the Palestinians in the face of the brutal Israeli attacks, particularly the campaign against the Gaza Strip during the past days.
In the League’s statement, Assistant Secretary-General of Arab League Ambassador Hossam Zaki said that the Secretary-General of the Arab League particularly appreciates the relentless efforts of Egypt, the State of Qatar, and Jordan to save Palestinian lives and reaching a cease-fire within a framework of preserving Palestinian interests, noting that the recent crisis revealed a complete Arab rallying around the Palestinian cause at the public and official levels.
The Palestinians have shown heroism and steadfastness in the face of the Israeli military machine that committed violations and shameful violations of international humanitarian law, he explained.
The Assistant Secretary-General of the Arab League stressed that the sacrifices of the Palestinians should not be in vain and that the state of Arab rallying around the Palestinians and their cause continues, especially since there is an urgent need to work on rebuilding what the occupation has destroyed in Gaza.
He underlined the necessity to support the steadfastness of the Jerusalemites who have succeeded in communicating their voice to the world, which has become more convinced of their just cause in light of the ethnic cleansing and forced displacement they are exposed to.

القاهرة: أشادت الأمانة العامة لجامعة الدول العربية بالدور الذي قامت به عدة دول عربية، من بينها دولة قطر، في إسناد الفلسطينيين ودعمهم في مواجهة الاعتداءات الإسرائيلية الغاشمة، وبالذات الحملة ضد قطاع غزة خلال الأيام الماضية.
وذكر السفير حسام زكي الأمين العام المساعد لجامعة الدول العربية، في بيان للجامعة، أن “الأمين العام للجامعة العربية يثمن بشكل خاص الجهود الحثيثة التي بذلتها ولا تزال تبذلها كل من مصر ودولة قطر والأردن لحقن الدماء الفلسطينية ووقف المواجهات وإطلاق النار في إطار من الحفاظ علي المصالح الفلسطينية”، مبينا أن “الأزمة الأخيرة كشفت عن التفاف عربي كامل حول القضية الفلسطينية، على المستويات الشعبية والرسمية”.
وأكد الأمين المساعد أن “الفلسطينيين أظهروا بطولة وصمودا في مواجهة الآلة العسكرية الإسرائيلية التي ارتكبت انتهاكات وخروقات مشينة للقانون الدولي الإنساني لابد أن تتحمل المسئولية عنها”، مشددا على “ضرورة ألا تذهب تضحيات الفلسطينيين سدى، وأن تتواصل حالة الالتفاف العربي حول الفلسطينيين وقضيتهم، خاصة أن هناك حاجة ماسة للعمل على إعادة اعمار ما هدمته يد الاحتلال في غزة”.
وأوضح أنه “يتوجب العمل كذلك على دعم صمود المقدسيين الذين نجحوا في ايصال صوتهم للعالم، الذي صار أكثر اقتناعا بعدالة قضيتهم في ظل ما يتعرضون له من تطهير عرقي وتهجير قسري”.
