5 daily classes for public school students in Ramadan

Doha: The education sector of the Ministry of Education and Higher Education has issued a circular on student hours during Ramadan, where students will start classes during the holy month at 9 am and end at 12:30 p.m., where the school schedule will include 5 classes per day, with each school organizing the schedule for live broadcasting at a rate of 25 classes per week.

The circular, which was sent to the principals of public schools on Sunday, explained that the first three classes are 40 minutes, and that the fourth and fifth classes are 35 minutes, and there are 5 minutes between all classes, and the break is 10 minutes.

For kindergarten students during Ramadan, it will start at 9:30 a.m. and end at 11:30 a.m., students will attend two hours a day, each school will organize the schedule, English will be taught for 3 classes per week for each class, and the school administration will be free to coordinate the daily schedule.

This comes in light of the decision of the Ministry of Education and Higher Education to adopt the distance learning system, and the suspension of the attendance of all students in all universities, schools and state and private kindergartens in Qatar, due to the health conditions related to the COVID-19 pandemic, and the current increase in the number of cases of Covid-19 in society. The attending of the educational staff of the schools continues, and the examinations of students for all stages will be held in educational buildings in person, where the measures to be taken will be announced later.

The Ministry of Education and Higher Education stresses that the distance learning system is an integral part of the educational process and academic achievement and the system of attendance and absence of students will be adopted in this system, calling on students to fully commit to pursuing lessons remotely and not to take them lightly to ensure their interest, and calls on parents to follow the attendance of their children for the lessons that will be conducted remotely as well as follow them closely and cooperate with educational staff in addition to providing an appropriate educational environment at home.

الدوحة: أصدر قطاع شؤون التعليم بوزارة التعليم والتعليم العالي، تعميماً بشأن أوقات دوام الطلبة خلال شهر رمضان، حيث سيبدأ دوام الطلبة خلال الشهر الفضيل الساعة 9 صباحاً وينتهي الساعة 12:30 مساء، حيث سيشمل الجدول المدرسي 5 حصص دراسية في اليوم، على أن تنظم كل مدرسة الجدول الزمني للبث المباشر بمعدل 25 حصة اسبوعياً.

وأوضح التعميم الذي تم إرساله إلى مديري المدارس الحكومية أمس الأحد، أن مدة الثلاث حصص الأولى 40 دقيقة، وان الحصتين الرابعة والخامسة 35 دقيقة، ويوجد بين جميع الحصص 5 دقائق، والفسحة مدتها 10 دقائق.

وبالنسبة إلى دوام الطلبة في رياض الأطفال خلال شهر رمضان، سيبدأ في تمام الساعة 9:30 صباحاً وينتهي الساعة 11:30، وسيداوم الطلبة بواقع ساعتين في اليوم على أن تنظم كل مدرسة الجدول الزمني، وسوف تقدم مادة اللغة الإنجليزية بواقع 3 حصص في الأسبوع لكل صف، ولإدارة المدرسة الحرية في تنسيق الجدول اليومي.

يأتي ذلك في ضوء قرار وزارة التعليم والتعليم العالي اعتماد نظام التعلّم عن بعد، وتعليق حضور جميع الطلبة في جميع الجامعات والمدارس ورياض الأطفال الحكومية منها والخاصة في دولة قطر، نظرا للظروف الصحية المتعلقة بجائحة فيروس كورونا كوفيد-19، وما تشهده الفترة الحالية من تزايد في عدد حالات الإصابة بكوفيد-19 في المجتمع. فيما يستمر حضور الكادر التعليمي للمدارس، كما سيتم اجراء امتحانات الطلبة لجميع المراحل في المباني التعليمية حضورياً، حيث سيتم في وقت لاحق الاعلان عن الاجراءات التي سيتم اتخاذها في هذا الشأن.

وتشدد وزارة التعليم والتعليم العالي على أن نظام التعليم عن بعد جزء لا يتجزأ من العملية التعليمية والتحصيل الأكاديمي وسيتم اعتماد نظام الحضور والغياب للطلبة في هذا النظام، داعية الطلبة إلى الالتزام التام بمتابعة الدروس عن بعد وعدم التهاون حرصاً على مصلحتهم، كما تدعو أولياء الأمور إلى متابعة حضور أبنائهم الدروس التي ستجرى عن بعد وكذلك متابعتهم بشكل وثيق والتعاون مع الكوادر التعليمية بالإضافة إلى توفير بيئة تعليمية مناسبة في المنزل.
