30% of students’ attendance in schools starting Sunday

Doha: The Ministry of Education and Higher Education has announced the reduction of students’ attendance in all public and private schools for all levels to 30% instead of 50% starting next Sunday, while continuing the integrated education system.

MOEHE tweeted a confirmation, that the decision comes within the framework of coordination and continuous cooperation with the Ministry of Public Health, and what is required by the public interest in order to provide a healthy and safe school environment. On the other hand, a number of public-school principals confirmed that cleaning companies _contracted by MOEHE_ are sterilizing school buildings in preparation for receiving students on March 21^st, after the end of the second-semester vacation.

The principals explained, in statements to Al-Raya that work is underway to prepare the school environment to receive students and resume study alternately through the application of the integrated education system, in light of the precautionary measures and protocol adopted by the MoPH in these exceptional circumstances witnessed by the world as a result of the Coronavirus pandemic.

They stressed the obligation of schools to sterilize buses and check the students’ temperature before boarding the bus and before entering the school building, while providing masks for students who need them, as well as providing sterilizers in corridors of schools and inside the classrooms.

Desks are redistributed within one classroom at a rate of only 15, as part of the implementation of the Ministry of Education’s instructions to take into account physical spacing and provide safe spaces among students.

الدوحة: أعلنت وزارة التعليم والتعليم العالي خفض نسبة حضور الطلاب في جميع المدارس الحكومية والخاصة لكل المراحل إلى 30% بدلًا من 50% ابتداء من الأحد المقبل، مع الاستمرار بنظام التعليم المدمج.

وأكّدت الوزارة، في تغريدة عبر حسابها الرسمي على موقع التواصل الاجتماعي «تويتر»، أن القرار يأتي في إطار التنسيق والتعاون المستمر مع وزارة الصحة العامة، ولما تقتضيه المصلحة العامة بهدف توفير بيئة مدرسية صحية وآمنة. من ناحية أخرى، أكّد عددٌ من مديري المدارس الحكومية قيام شركات النظافة، المتعاقد معها من قبل وزارة التعليم والتعليم العالي، بتعقيم المباني المدرسية استعدادًا لاستقبال الطلبة في الحادي والعشرين من مارس الجاري، بعد انتهاء إجازة منتصف الفصل الدراسي الثاني.

وأوضح المديرون، في تصريحات لـ الراية أن العمل جارٍ على قدم وساق من أجل تهيئة البيئة المدرسية لاستقبال الطلبة واستئناف الدراسة تناوبيًا عبر تطبيق نظام التعليم المدمج، وذلك في ضوء الإجراءات الاحترازية والبروتوكول المعتمد من قبل وزارة الصحة العامة في ظل الظروف الاستثنائية التي يشهدها العالم جراء جائحة كورونا.

وشددوا على التزام المدارس بتعقيم الحافلات وقياس درجات حرارة الطلبة قبل ركوب الحافلة وقبل الدخول إلى المبنى المدرسي مع الالتزام بتوفير كمامات لمن يحتاجها من الطلبة، فضلًا عن توفير المعقمات في ردهات وممرات المدارس وداخل الصفوف. وتتم إعادة توزيع الطاولات داخل الغرفة الدراسية الواحدة بمعدل 15 طاولة فقط، وذلك في إطار تطبيق تعليمات وزارة التعليم بمراعاة التباعد الجسدي وتوفير مساحات آمنة بين الطلبة.
