Beijing, Washington Agree to Continue Communication on Bilateral Relations

Beijing: China and the United States have agreed to maintain contact and communication on bilateral relations as well as international and regional issues of common concern.

This came during a telephone conversation held Saturday between the member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Yang Jiechi, and the US Secretary of State Antony Blinken.

Xinhua News Agency reported that China urges the United States to rectify its mistakes made over a period of time and work with China to uphold the spirit of no conflict, no confrontation, mutual respect, and win-win cooperation.

Yang Jiechi also said that the United States should strictly adhere to the “one-China” principle and the three joint communiques between China and the United States, adding that the affairs relating to Hong Kong, Xinjiang, and Tibet are all internal affairs of China and do not allow interference by any outside forces.

For his part, Blinken said the US-China relations are very important to both countries and the world, and the US side is willing to develop stable and constructive bilateral relations with China.

Blinken reiterated that the US side will continue to pursue the one-China principle and abide by the three Sino-US joint communiques, and this policy stance has not changed.

بكين: اتفقت الصين والولايات المتحدة الأمريكية على الحفاظ على الاتصال والتواصل بشأن العلاقات الثنائية والقضايا الدولية والإقليمية محل الاهتمام المشترك .

جاء ذلك خلال اتصال هاتفي جرى الأمس بين السيد يانغ جيه تشي عضو المكتب السياسي للجنة المركزية للحزب الشيوعي الصيني والسيد أنتوني بلينكن وزير الخارجية الأمريكي.

وذكرت وكالة أنباء / شينخوا/ الصينية أنه جرى خلال الاتصال استعراض العلاقات بين الجانبين مع تأكيد الجانب الصيني على ضرورة قيام واشنطن بتصحيح أخطائها السابقة والعمل مع الصين لدعم روح عدم الصراع وعدم المواجهة والاحترام المتبادل والتعاون المربح للجانبين.

وقال السيد يانغ جيه تشي أنه يتعين على الولايات المتحدة الالتزام بصرامة بمبدأ (صين واحدة) وبالبيانات المشتركة الثلاثة بين الصين والولايات المتحدة، مضيفا أن الشؤون المتعلقة بهونغ كونغ وشينجيانغ والتبت كلها شؤون داخلية للصين ولا تسمح بتدخل أي قوى خارجية.

من جانبه، قال بلينكن إن العلاقات الأمريكية-الصينية مهمة للغاية لكلا البلدين والعالم، وإن الجانب الأمريكي على استعداد لتطوير علاقات ثنائية مستقرة وبنّاءة مع الصين.

وأكد أن الجانب الأمريكي سيستمر في اتباع مبدأ صين واحدة والالتزام بالبيانات المشتركة الثلاثة بين الولايات المتحدة والصين، مشيرا إلى أن هذا موقف سياسي لم يتغير.
