68 Qatari vehicles cross Salwa port to Saudi Arabia

Riyadh: Saudi Customs began its work at the Salwa border port with Qatar, where the port received a number of arrivals from Qatar yesterday with the opening of the port.
Customs procedures have been terminated, in accordance with the health regulations and procedures in place at all ports in our sister Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
“We have begun to prepare the Salwa outlet for reopening since the announcement of the Gulf reconciliation on Monday,” said Mr. Ali Al-Aklabi, General Manager of Salwa Customs. The work at the port is conducted in a smooth way in cooperation with all sectors working in the port.”
He added in an interview with The Saudi News Channel that the Salwa port was fully operational with the support of the Governor of the General Authority of Customs to equip the port with human and technical personnel.
He said the Salwa outlet saw 68 vehicles from Qatar cross into the Kingdom, while 20 vehicles were departed from the Kingdom.
Saudi Customs had begun to cooperate with all government agencies operating in the port immediately after the announcement of the agreement to open the airspace and land, sea and air borders between Saudi Arabia and The State of Qatar by preparing and equipping the port from all technical and operational aspects and completing all preparations and services, in addition to ensuring that all necessary requirements and conditions are met to achieve the provision of excellent customs services to all passers-by through it.

الرياض: بدأت الجمارك السعودية في منفذ سلوى الحدودي مع قطر أعمالها، حيث استقبل المنفذ أمس، عددًا من القادمين من دولة قطر مع بدء افتتاحه.
وقد تم إنهاء الإجراءات الجمركية، وفقًا للضوابط والإجراءات الصحية المتبعة في جميع المنافذ في المملكة العربية السعودية الشقيقة.
هذا وقال السيد على الأكلبي، مدير عام جمرك سلوى:» بدأنا في تجهيز منفذ سلوى لإعادة افتتاحه منذ الإعلان عن المصالحة الخليجية، وذلك يوم الاثنين الماضي. ويسير العمل في المنفذ بصورة سلسلة بالتعاون مع جميع القطاعات العاملة في المنفذ».
أضاف خلال مقابلة مع قناة الإخبارية السعودية، أنه تم تشغيل منفذ سلوى بشكل كامل بدعم من محافظ الهيئة العامة للجمارك لتجهيز المنفذ بالكوادر البشرية والتقنية.
وأشار على الأكلبي إلى أن منفذ سلوى شهد عبور 68 مركبة قادمة من قطر إلى المملكة، فيما خرج من المملكة إلى قطر 20 مركبة.
وكانت الجمارك السعودية قد بدأت بالتعاون مع جميع الجهات الحكومية العاملة بالمنفذ فور إعلان الاتفاق على فتح الأجواء والحدود البرية والبحرية والجوية بين المملكة العربية السعودية ودولة قطر بتهيئة وتجهيز المنفذ من جميع الجوانب الفنية والتشغيلية وإكمال جميع الاستعدادات والخدمات، إلى جانب التأكد من توفر جميع المتطلبات والاشتراطات اللازمة التي تُحقق تقديم خدمات جمركية متميزة لجميع العابرين من خلاله.
