New study reveals how long the recoveries are immune to Corona

Doha: A new study has revealed the immunity duration of people recovered from the “Coved 19” virus thanks to antibodies as well as types of immune cells that the body collects after infection.

The study of 188 people who recovered from Covid -19 infection found that their immunity lasts at least 8 months after recovery from the disease not only through antibodies, but also through several types of immune cells collected by the body after infection, CNN Arabic reported yesterday.

“Our data show that immune memory in at least three immune parts was measurable in about 95% of people between five and eight months after symptoms appear, suggesting that permanent immunity to secondary Covid -19 is a probability in most individuals,” the researchers explained in a report published in the journal Science.

While there were concerns that the body’s counter-response would fade, Dr. Jennifer Dunn of the La Jolla Institute of Immunology and the University of California, San Diego, worked with her team to find out how the immune responses of Covid -19 survivors were affected, explaining that they found the exact opposite.

Dan and her team found that people’s bodies were producing antibodies, B memory cells, CD8 T cells and CD4 T cells for eight months after people became ill.

The researchers noted that although there are reports of people twice infected with MERS-CoV, they have shown that large studies have shown that if the condition occurs, it is rare.

A Reuters count showed that more than 87.42 million people worldwide were infected with CORONA, while the total number of deaths from the virus reached 1.88 million. Infections have been reported in more than 210 countries and regions since the first cases were detected in China in December 2019.

الدوحة: كشفت دراسة جديدة عن مدة المناعة للمتعافين من فيروس كورونا “كوفيد 19” بفضل الأجسام المضادة بالإضافة إلى أنواع من الخلايا المناعية التي يجمعها الجسم بعد الإصابة.

وتوصلت الدراسة التي  أجريت على 188 شخصاً تعافوا من عدوى “كوفيد-19” أن مناعتهم تستمر 8 أشهر على الأقل بعد الشفاء من المرض ليس فقط من خلال الأجسام المضادة، ولكن أيضاً من خلال عدة أنواع من الخلايا المناعية التي يجمعها الجسم بعد الإصابة، بحسب موقع سي إن إن عربي أمس.

وأوضح الباحثون في تقرير نُشر في مجلة “Science”: “تُظهر بياناتنا أن الذاكرة المناعية في ثلاث أجزاء مناعية على الأقل كانت قابلة للقياس لدى حوالي 95٪ من الأشخاص بين خمسة وثمانية أشهر بعد ظهور الأعراض، مما يشير إلى أن المناعة الدائمة ضد مرض كوفيد-19 الثانوي هو احتمال لدى معظم الأفراد”.

وبينما كانت هناك مخاوف من تلاشي استجابة الجسم المضاد، عملت الدكتورة جينيفر دان من معهد لا جولا لعلم المناعة وجامعة كاليفورنيا في سان دييغو مع فريقها لمعرفة مدى تأثر الاستجابات المناعية للناجين من “كوفيد -19″، موضحة أنهم وجدوا العكس تماماً.

ووجدت دان وفريقها أن أجسام الأشخاص كانت تنتج أجسامًا مضادة وخلايا ذاكرة “B” وخلايا “CD8 T” وخلايا “CD4 T” لمدة ثمانية أشهر بعد إصابة الأشخاص بالمرض.

وأشار الباحثون إلى أنه رغم وجود تقارير عن إصابة أشخاص مرتين بفيروس كورونا، إلا أنهم أوضحوا أن الدراسات الكبيرة أظهرت أنه في حالة حدوث هذه الحالة، فإنها نادرة.

وأظهر إحصاء لرويترز أن أكثر من 87.42 مليون نسمة أصيبوا بكورونا على مستوى العالم، في حين وصل إجمالي عدد الوفيات الناتجة عن الفيروس إلى مليون و888982 وفاة. وتم تسجيل إصابات بالفيروس في أكثر من 210 دول ومناطق منذ اكتشاف أولى حالات الإصابة في الصين في ديسمبر  2019.
