Washington: U.S. Police and federal authorities are investigating a first-of-its-kind case involving a Wisconsin health official who confessed to deliberately corrupting 500 doses of the Covid-19 vaccine.
Aurora Medical Center reported that the doses had been spoiled deliberately last Saturday, and that a staff member had left several hundred of them out of the refrigerator overnight therefore they were spoiled.
But the same center returned on Wednesday to say that the vaccines appeared to have been deliberately corrupted. The administration, the FBI and the Food and Drug Administration are seriously investigating the case after receiving notification of the alleged manipulation, a police statement said.

واشنطن: تحقّق الشرطة والسلطات الفيدرالية الأمريكية في قضية هي الأولى من نوعها، تتمثّل في أن موظفًا صحيًا بولاية ويسكونسن اعترف بتعمّد إفساد 500 جرعة من لقاح «كوفيد- 19».
وأفاد مركز أورورا الطبي، في المرة الأولى بأنّ الجَرعات قد أفسدت يوم السبت الماضي، وأن موظفًا ترك عدة مئات منها خارج الثلاجة طوال الليل ففسدت.
لكن المركز نفسه عاد يوم الأربعاء للقول إن اللقاحات قد أُفسدت بشكل متعمد على ما يبدو. وقال بيان للشرطة، إن الإدارة ومكتب التحقيقات الفيدرالي وإدارة الغذاء والدواء تحقّق بجدية في القضية بعد أن تلقت إخطارًا بالتلاعب المزعوم.
