Al Khelaifi: Qatar Classic Squash Championship Showed Highest Degrees of Success

Doha: HE President of Qatar Tennis Squash and Badminton Federation Nasser bin Ghanim Al Khelaifi, expressed his happiness for the continued success of the Qatar Classic Squash Championship 2020, which is currently organized by the Qatari Federation on the stadiums of Khalifa International Tennis & Squash complex, with the participation of all the top players.
Al Khelaifi said in a statement after attending the quarter-finals competitions that were held today, that the championship showed the highest levels of success at the technical and organizational levels, despite the circumstances that the world is currently going through as a result of the Coronavirus pandemic.
His Excellency stressed that Qatar will always be up to any challenge, and the presence of world champions and the world’s top ranked players in Khalifa International Tennis & Squash complex currently competing for the championship title is the greatest evidence of this, and it also confirms the confidence of the sports leaders in Qatar.
His Excellency stressed that the organizing committee is very keen to provide all the factors that contribute to the success of the championship at all levels, in a manner befitting Qatar’s global position in organizing sporting events.
HE Al Khelaifi explained that the most important cause of success is the close cooperation with officials, especially Qatar Olympic Committee, the Ministry of Public Health and the Supreme Committee for Crisis Management.

وقال جوف، في تصريح له مساء اليوم بعد حضوره منافسات الدور نصف النهائي، إن “جهود اللجنة المنظمة للبطولة لا تصدق في ظل جائحة /كورونا/، فالترتيبات جاءت على أعلى مستوى بإجراءات احترازية صارمة للغاية فالهدف الاساسي كان هو الحفاظ على سلامة الجميع وعدم تعرض أي لاعب للاصابة”.
وأضاف أن “التنظيم القطري مشهود له بالكفاءة دائما، والنسخة الحالية جاءت على أفضل ما يكون.. ودائما تثبت قطر كلاسيك انها واحدة من البطولات الكبيرة والمهمة”.
وحول المستوى الفني للبطولة، قال الرئيس التنفيذي لرابطة لاعبي الاسكواش ان “المستوى الفني للبطولة جيد جدا، وقدم اللاعبون المصنفون مستويات كبيرة في فنون اللعبة، وكان خروج المصنف الأول للبطولة محمد الشوربجي من دائرة المنافسة بمثابة مفاجأة، وهذا أكبر دليل على حدة وقوة المنافسة بين اللاعبين”.
وعن المباراة النهائية غدا بين المصري علي فرج والنيوزيلندي بول كول، قال جوف “بلا شك ستكون مباراة ممتعة بين لاعبين كبيرين، وسوف يستمتع الجميع بمستوى متميز للنهائي”.
