Katara International Hunting and Falcons 2020 Kicks Off

Doha: The Cultural Village Foundation “Katara” opened today the fourth edition of “S’hail” – Katara International Hunting and Falcons 2020″, which is the largest international exhibition in the Middle East and North Africa region in hunting and falconry, amid wide international participation of 120 companies specialized in hunting weapons, hunting supplies, falcons and off-road trips, representing the State of Qatar and 12 countries from different parts of the world, including: “Kuwait, Pakistan, the United States, Grand Britain, Spain, Turkey, Belgium, Lebanon, Portugal, Romania, France, Hungary.”

On its first day, the exhibition witnessed the visits of a number of ministers and high-level officials, namely HE Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Sultan bin Saad Al Muraikhi, HE Minister of State for the Middle East and North Africa Affairs at the British Foreign Office James Cleverly, and several ambassadors.

On this occasion, General Manager of Katara Dr. Khalid bin Ibrahim Al Sulaiti expressed his gladness for the opening of the fourth edition of “S’hail”, stressing that it constitutes the most important international heritage exhibitions hosted by Katara, as it has become a destination and a global station attracting lovers of hunting and trekking and falconers from Qatar and all around the world, especially in this challenging conditions of Corona pandemic, being the largest exhibition that Katara organizes on the ground, applying all the preventive measures to ensure a safe shopping process, taking into account to provide a competitive atmosphere to look at the latest types of weapons and the best equipment and products in the world of hunting and off-road adventures.

The exhibition had witnessed on its first day a huge public presence while following all precautionary measures to prevent the spread of coronavirus, COVID-19, and considering the alternating access of visitors and within two periods, the first from 9 am until 2 pm, and the second from 4 pm to 11 pm, according to the electronic reservation system through the exhibition’s website, to avoid crowding inside the exhibition site, and to ensure safety for all.

The Katara International Hunting and Falconry Exhibition S’hail is sponsored by a number of agencies and companies, such as the Social and Sporting Activities Support Fund (Al-Daeem), Qatar Insurance Group (the official insurance sponsor), Qatar Airways (the exclusive carrier), Ooredoo (Al-Saqr Al-Adham), and the Qatari Navigation Company. (Official Logistic Partner) and Tanzifco (Hur Sponsor).

The current edition of “S’hail” is distinguished by the electronic falcon auction, as each participant receives a gold card that allows him to visit the exhibition at any time. The participant can also view pictures and data of all kinds of participating falcons, and presenting the rarest “Hur” falcons, and is following the auction electronically.

The fourth edition of the exhibition launches two competitions, the first for the most beautiful commercial pavilion participating in the exhibition, and the second for the most beautiful burqa (Falcon Head Mask) in the exhibition.

الدوحة: افتتحت المؤسسة العامة للحي الثقافي /كتارا/، يوم أمس، النسخة الرابعة لمعرض كتارا الدولي للصيد والصقور (سهيل2020)، ويستمر حتى الرابع والعشرين من أكتوبر الجاري.وذلك وسط مشاركة دولية واسعة بلغت (120) شركة متخصصة في أسلحة الصيد ومستلزمات القنص والصقور والرحلات، تمثل دولة قطر و(12) دولة من مختلف دول العالم وهي :” الكويت، باكستان، الولايات المتحدة، بريطانيا، إسبانيا، تركيا، بلجيكا، لبنان، البرتغال، رومانيا، فرنسا، المجر”.

وشهد المعرض في يومه الأول زيارات عدد من الوزراء والشخصيات رفيعة المستوى، وهم سعادة السيد سلطان بن سعد المريخي وزير الدولة للشؤون الخارجية، وسعادة السيد جيمس كليفرلي وزير الدولة البريطاني لشؤون الشرق الأوسط وشمال أفريقيا، وعدد من أصحاب السعادة السفراء، حيث تعرفوا على أبرز أقسام المعرض وأبرز المشاركات المحلية والدولية وما يقدمه من منتوجات متنوعة.

وأعرب الدكتور خالد بن إبراهيم السليطي مدير عام /كتارا/ -ورئيس اللجنة المنظمة لمعرض سهيل- في تصريح له بهذه المناسبة عن سروره بافتتاح النسخة الرابعة لهذا المعرض ، مؤكدا أنه يشكل إضافة مميزة وجديدة باعتباره من أبرز الفعاليات والمعارض التراثية التي تحتضنها المؤسسة العامة للحي الثقافي ، حيث أصبح يشكل وجهة ومحطة عالمية جاذبة لعشاق الصيد والرحلات ومربي الصقور والقناصين من قطر وجميع دول العالم، لاسيما وأنه يأتي بمثابة التحدي، كونه أكبر معرض تدشنه /كتارا/ على أرض الواقع في ظل جائحة كورونا / كوفيد-19/ ، مشيرا إلى أن “سهيل 2020 ” يعقد هذا العام بمشاركة نخبة من كبرى الشركات الدولية المتخصصة في الصقور ومستلزمات الصيد والقنص، ووسط اتخاذ سلسلة من التدابير والإجراءات الوقائية لضمان عملية تسوق آمنة، مع مراعاة توفير أجواء من التنافسية في الإطلاع على أحدث أنواع الأسلحة وأفضل المعدات والمنتجات في عالم الصيد ورحلات المقناص.

وأضاف مدير عام /كتارا/ أن المعرض رسخ مكانته العالمية المميزة كملتقى ثقافـي وتراثي واقتصادي ، يتيح فرصة كبيرة لتبادل الخبرات بين أصحاب الشركات والصقارين،الذين يشاركون فيه فضـلا عـن اسـتقطابه لنخبـة مـن أمهـر الحرفيين وصناع لوازم الصقور والصيـد فـي العالـم، موضحا أن المعـرض بات يشـق طريقـه فـي النمـو ، والتطوير المستمر، بما يتناسب مع الآمال والطموحات، ومحققاً نجاحه الباهـر، ومجسـدا رسالته السامية للأجيـال فـي التعريـف بالتـراث القطـري والمحافظـة عليـه.

ويحظى معرض كتارا الدولي للصيد والصقور برعاية عدد من الجهات والشركات وهي صندوق دعم الأنشطة الاجتماعية والرياضية (دعم)، ومجموعة قطر للتأمين (راعي التأمين الرسمي)، والخطوط القطرية(الناقل الحصري) ، وأوريدو (الصقر الأدهم)، وشركة ملاحة القطرية (الشريك اللوجستي الرسمي) وتنظيفكو (الراعي الحر).

وكان المعرض قد شهد في الافتتاح حضورا مميزاً مع اتباع كافة الإجراءات الاحترازية لمواجهة فيروس كورونا ، ومراعاة الدخول بالتناوب وضمن فترتين تمتد الأولى من التاسعة صباحا وحتى الثانية ظهرا، بينما تتراوح الفترة الثانية من الرابعة عصرا وحتى الحادية عشرة مساء، وذلك طبقا لنظام الحجز الإلكتروني الذي يتيحه المعرض لزواره من الصقارين وعشاق التراث عبر موقع المعرض على الانترنت، بهدف تجنب الزحام داخل موقع المعرض، وضمان السلامة للجميع.

ويزخر المعرض بباقة متميزة ومتنوعة من الفعاليات المتطورة التي استحدثتها إدارة المعرض وفقا للإجراءات الاحترازية للوقاية من /كورونا/، وطبقا لمعايير السلامة والتسوق الآمن بالإضافة إلى العديد من الفقرات والمنصات والأنشطة التي تعرض أندر وأفخم الصقور وأجود مستلزماتها، كما يشكل المعرض منصة اقتصادية وتسويقية مهمة تعرض أحدث أنواع الأسلحة وأفضل المعدات والمنتجات في عالم القنص والصقور والرحلات للشركات الدولية المشاركة فيه.
