Ministry Organizes Workshop for Youth Entrepreneurs on Drug Prevention

Doha: The Ministry of Culture and Sports organized a two-day training workshop for the first batch of youth entrepreneurs on drug prevention as part of its efforts to prepare a group of trainers to provide lectures and awareness workshops on this issue.
The workshop, which took place at the headquarters of the Ministry of Culture and Sports, was attended by Assistant Director of the Studies and International Affairs Department at the General Administration for Drug Control Captain Nasser Al Shahwani, Executive Director of the Doha International Family Institute at Qatar Foundation Dr. Sharifa Al Emadi, and Director of the Community Awareness Department at the Behavioral Health care Center Jawaher Abu Alfin. It was moderated by Dr. Mohammed Al Ansari, Advisor to the Minister of Culture and Sports for Strategic Affairs and Secretary of the Subcommittee on Drug Prevention.
During the first day of the workshop, HE Minister of Culture and Sports Salah bin Ghanem Al Ali gave a lecture on the importance of the valuable guidance in dealing with the drug issue. The participants in the workshop presented to youth entrepreneurs, various sessions about drug dangers, their causes, and ways to prevent them.
The workshop focused on the efforts of the national subcommittee for drug prevention, which took the slogan “my family protects me”, and aimed at empowering young people with the strategic direction of the prevention committee, appropriate content, and some other techniques, in addition to the valuable guidance presented by HE the Minister of Culture and Sports during the workshop.
Director of the Youth Affairs Department at the Ministry of Culture and Sports Maha Al Rumaihi affirmed the ministry’s interest in engaging youth in achieving its strategy and the desired goals and objectives, noting that the workshop targeted youth entrepreneurs who have acquired training skills to work to raise awareness of the drug issue and enhance social responsibility in the face of such problems that threaten young people.
Jawaher Abu Alfin, a member of the subcommittee on drug prevention, said that opportunities cannot be created without these generations having a role in making their lives, as efforts are directed towards investing young people’s knowledge that qualifies them to respond and contribute to the development of society.
The youth entrepreneurs initiative was launched by the Ministry of Culture and Sports in 2015, to build leadership capabilities among young people and qualify them for future success and to exercise professional and community leadership roles that help them achieve their goals and the goals of Qatar National Vision 2030. Therefore, the youth project management program was launched to build a system of knowledge, leadership, skills, values, and experiences.

الدوحة: نظمت وزارة الثقافة والرياضة، على مدى يومين، ورشة تدريبية للدفعة الأولى من رواد العمل الشبابي حول الوقاية من المخدرات، ضمن جهودها لإعداد مجموعة من المدربين القادرين على تقديم محاضرات وورش توعوية حول القضية ذاتها.
وشارك في الندوة التي جرت بمقر وزارة الثقافة والرياضة، كل من النقيب ناصر الشهواني مساعد مدير إدارة الدراسات والشؤون الدولية في الإدارة العامة لمكافحة المخدرات، والدكتورة شريفة العمادي المدير التنفيذي لمعهد الدوحة الدولي للأسرة في مؤسسة قطر، والأستاذة جواهر بو ألفين مديرة إدارة التوعية المجتمعية في مركز دعم الصحة السلوكية، وأدارها الدكتور محمد الأنصاري مستشار سعادة وزير الثقافة والرياضة للشؤون الإستراتيجية وأمين سر اللجنة الفرعية للوقاية من المخدرات.
وقدم سعادة السيد صلاح بن غانم العلي وزير الثقافة والرياضة، خلال اليوم الأول من الورشة محاضرة حول أهمية المقاربة القيمية في تناول قضية المخدرات، كما قدم المشاركون في الندوة لرواد العمل الشبابي، حلقات متنوعة حول مخاطر المخدرات وأسبابها، وطرق الوقاية منها.
وقد ركزت الورشة على جهود اللجنة الوطنية الفرعية للوقاية من المخدرات التي اتخذت شعار /أسرتي تحميني/، واستهدفت تمكين الشباب من التوجه الاستراتيجي للجنة الوقاية، ومن المحتوى المناسب، وبعض الفنيات الأخرى، بالإضافة إلى التوجيه القيمي الذي قدمه سعادة وزير الثقافة والرياضة خلال الورشة.
وأكدت السيدة مها الرميحي مديرة إدارة الشؤون الشبابية بوزارة الثقافة والرياضة، اهتمام الوزارة بإشراك الشباب في تحقيق استراتيجيتها وتحقيق الأهداف والغايات المنشودة، مشيرة إلى أن الورشة استهدفت رواد العمل الشبابي الذين أصبحوا يمتلكون مهارات التدريب للعمل على رفع الوعي بقضية المخدرات وتعزيز المسؤولية المجتمعية في مواجهة مثل هذه الآفات التي تهدد الشباب.
من جانبها قالت جواهر بو ألفين عضو اللجنة الفرعية للوقاية من المخدرات، إنه لا يمكن خلق الفرص دون أن يكون لهذه الأجيال دور في صناعة حياتهم، حيث تتجه الجهود إلى استثمار معارف الشباب التي تؤهلهم للاستجابة والمساهمة في تطوير المجتمع.
جدير بالذكر أن مبادرة رواد العمل الشبابي أطلقتها وزارة الثقافة والرياضة في العام 2015، لبناء القدرات القيادية لدى الشباب وتأهيلهم للنجاح في المستقبل وممارسة أدوار قيادية مهنية ومجتمعية تساعدهم على تحقيق أهدافهم وأهداف رؤية قطر 2030، لذلك فقد تم طرح برنامج إدارة المشاريع الشبابية لبناء منظومة من المعارف والمهارات والقيم والخبرات القيادية لدى الشباب.
وفي هذا الإطار تم إعداد الدفعة الأولى من رواد العمل الشبابي قبل عدة سنوات، من خلال تنظيم وعمل الدورات والحقائب التدريبية وطرق التأثير في الآخرين، حتى تكونت لديهم حصيلة من الخبرات عبر الأنشطة التدريبية التي يقومون بها سواء عن طريق المراكز الشبابية أو بشكل مستقل في مختلف الهيئات والمؤسسات بالدولة.
