People with special needs to participate in second edition of Colour Festival

The members of the Qatar Society for Rehabilitation of Special Needs (QSRSN) will participate in the second Colour Festival for people with disabilities which will begin its activities remotely on July 10.

It is a global festival that shows shared social responsibility through joint cooperation between the Doha International Center for Special Needs, the Regional Network of Social Responsibility, the Bevol International Volunteer Platform, the Qatar Unified Awareness Team and the Arab Creators Forum in Turkey, and for the first time in the world a virtual exhibition is being held on a digital platform, specialised for people with disabilities.

The festival will be held under the slogan “Distinguish Online”. A large number of participants from all over the world will participate in the festival in order to spread important messages to the world confirming that “disability is a natural human diversity, and that it is the right of persons with disabilities to distinguish and innovate and they can do that.”

Another message that they want to send to the world is that disability is the disability of thought, not a body disability, and that persons with disabilities, despite their disability, possess distinct talents and creativity, and they do not know the impossible.

The members of the Qatar Society for Rehabilitation of Special Needs (QSRSN) will participate with creative artists through distinguished artistic paintings and a number of creative people with disabilities from Gulf and Arab countries and from several countries around the world, with a virtual exhibition via the Internet.

The competition is supervised by a group of artists, creators and specialists in the disability field through a special committee chaired by Dr. Hala Al Saeed, the initiative owner and director of the Doha International Center for Special Needs. Valuable prizes are allocated for the winning works in the festival.

يشارك منتسبو الجمعية القطرية لتأهيل ذوي الاحتياجات الخاصة، في النسخة الثانية من مهرجان الألوان العالمي، الذي يبدأ فعالياته عن بُعد في العاشر من يوليو الحالي، بالدوحة، وذلك بمبادرة من مركز الدوحة العالمي لذوي الاحتياجات الخاصة تحت شعار «تميّز أون لاين».

ويظهر هذا المهرجان العالمي المسؤولية المجتمعية المشتركة بين مركز الدوحة العالمي لذوي الاحتياجات الخاصة، والشبكة الإقليمية للمسؤولية الاجتماعية، ومنصّة بيفول الدولية للعمل التطوعي، وفريق قطر التوعوي الموحّد، وملتقى المبدعين العرب بتركيا.

ويقام لأول مرة على مستوى العالم معرض افتراضي علي منصّة رقمية، متخصص للأشخاص ذوي الإعاقة، وبأعداد كبيرة من المشاركين من جميع أنحاء العالم، من الفنانين الموهوبين المبدعين من الأشخاص ذوي الإعاقة، بهدف نشر رسائل مهمة للعالم، تؤكد أن «الإعاقة تنوّع بشري طبيعي، وأنه من حق الأشخاص ذوي الإعاقة أن يتميزوا ويبدعوا، وأنهم يستطيعون ذلك، بجانب نشر رسالة للعالم بأن الإعاقة «إعاقة فكر وليست إعاقة جسد»، وأن الأشخاص ذوي الإعاقة يمتلكون مواهب وإبداعات متميزة، ولا يعرفون المستحيل.

ويشارك منتسبو الجمعية القطرية لتأهيل ذوي الاحتياجات الخاصة من الأشخاص ذوي الإعاقة المبدعين بلوحات فنية متميزة، وضمن كوكبة كبيرة من المبدعين من الأشخاص ذوي الإعاقة بمجموعة من الدول الخليجية والعربية، ومن عدة دول بمختلف أنحاء العالم، في معرض افتراضي عبر شبكة الإنترنت، وبمجموعة كبيرة من اللوحات الفنية البديعة. ويشرف على المسابقة فنانون ومختصون في مجال الإعاقة عبر لجنة خاصة برئاسة الدكتورة هلا السعيد صاحبة المبادرة، ومديرة مركز الدوحة العالمي لذوي الاحتياجات الخاصة، وتم رصد جوائز قيّمة وكبيرة للأعمال الفائزة في المهرجان.
