‘AlBawarih’ winds to return again Monday, Tuesday

Gulf Times – Doha:
Weather charts indicate that windy condition, locally called ‘AlBawarih’, is expected to return again on Monday and Tuesday (22 and 23 June), warned the Department of Meteorology Friday.
Northwesterly fresh to strong winds will be affecting the country these days reaching peak during daytime with speed ranging between 15 to 25 kt gusting to 35 kt at times with decreasing wind speed at night.
The windy conditions will be accompanied with slight to blowing dust especially in open areas. The dusty winds can result in poor visibility as low as 2 km at times. At sea, wave heights can range between 5 to 8ft reaching 12ft in some areas.
Maximum temperatures during this period is expected to range between 35 to 44°C and minimums between 26 to 33°C across the country.
Qatar Meteorology Department urged all to be careful, avoid marine activities as well as to follow latest updates released through its official social media accounts.

تشير خرائط الطقس إلى عودة نشاط رياح البوارح مجدداً يومي الاثنين والثلاثاء المقبلين 22-23 يونيو 2020م حيث تتأثر البلاد برياح شمالية غربية نشطة إلى قوية السرعة تبلغ ذروتها خلال ساعات النهار لتتراوح من 15 إلى 25 عقدة مع هبات تصل إلى 35 عقدة أحياناً وتقل سرعتها ليلاً.
ويصاحب نشاط الرياح غبار خفيف إلى غبار مثار خاصة في المناطق المكشوفة مع تدني مدى الرؤية إلى أقل من 2 كم أحياناً، مع تحذيرات بأمواج عالية تتراواح من 5 إلى 8 قدم تصل إلى 12 قدم على بعض المناطق.
ومن المتوقع أن تتراوح درجات الحرارة العظمى خلال هذه الفترة بين 35 إلى 44°م والصغرى بين 26 إلى 33°م في مختلف مناطق البلاد.
وتهيب إدارة الأرصاد الجوية بالجميع ضرورة توخي الحيطة والحذر وتجنب الأنشطة البحرية ومتابعة آخر التحديثات عبر حساباتها الرسمية.
