Qatar Airways to resume services to Venice and expand flights to Dublin, Milan and Rome

Qatar Airways has announced the airline will be resuming services to Venice, Italy starting from 15 July 2020. The popular tourist destination and major arts and cultural centre will become the airline’s third destination in Italy to resume flights, marking a significant step in the resumption of global leisure travel.

The national carrier of the State of Qatar will also increase flights to Dublin, Milan and Rome, with daily services starting from 13 June 2020. As one of the only global airlines to have maintained a significant schedule throughout this crisis, Qatar Airways is uniquely positioned to monitor trends in traffic flow and passenger bookings. The airline expects these additional flights to provide further seamless connectivity via its award-winning hub, Hamad International Airport, with its Asia-Pacific destinations, in particular Australia where the airline continues to operate 21 weekly flights to Brisbane, Melbourne, Perth and Sydney.

Qatar Airways three-weekly flights to Venice will be operated by its state-of-the-art Boeing 787 Dreamliner, featuring 22 seats in Business Class and 232 Seats in Economy class. The airline has further enhanced its onboard safety measures for passengers and cabin crew. The airline is implementing several changes, including the introduction of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) suits for cabin crew while onboard, as well as a modified service that reduces interactions between the passengers and the crew inflight. Cabin crew have already been wearing PPE during flights for a number of weeks, including gloves and face masks. Passengers will also be required to wear face coverings inflight, with the carrier recommending travellers bring their own for fit and comfort purposes.

To ensure travellers can plan their travel with peace of mind, the airline has extended its booking policies to offer even more choice to its passengers. The airline will allow unlimited date changes, and passengers can change their destination as often as they need if it is within 5,000 miles of the original destination. The airline will not charge any fare differences for travel completed before 31 December 2020, after which fare rules will apply. All tickets booked for travel up to 31 December 2020 will be valid for two years from the date of issuance.

أعلنت الخطوط الجوية القطرية عن استئناف رحلاتها إلى مدينة البندقية في إيطاليا، اعتباراً من 15 يوليو 2020، وسوف تصبح هذه المدينة ثالث الوجهات التي تعيد الناقلة تشغيل رحلاتها إليها في إيطاليا، في خطوة سيكون لها أثر كبير في الجهود المبذولة من أجل تمكين قطاع السياحة والسفر في العالم من التعافي. كما ستزيد الناقلة الوطنية لدولة قطر من عدد رحلاتها إلى كل من دبلن وميلان وروما، إلى رحلة يومياً اعتباراً من 13 يونيو 2020.

وقال سعادة السيد أكبر الباكر، الرئيس التنفيذي لمجموعة الخطوط الجوية القطرية: «يسرّنا استئناف رحلاتنا إلى مدينة البندقية الإيطالية، التي تعتبر إحدى أكثر الوجهات السياحية شهرة في العالم، ويعتبر استئناف رحلاتنا إلى البندقية إنجازاً كبيراً ليس فقط بالنسبة لنا في الخطوط الجوية القطرية، بل لقطاع السياحة العالمي ككل، حيث يعتبر هذا الأمر مؤشراً إيجابياً لبداية العودة التدريجية لحركة السياحة العالمية، ونتطلع إلى دعم مختلف الشركات في البندقية التي تستند على السياحة للاستمرار بأعمالها، مع الحرص على زيادة عدد الرحلات في الفترة المقبلة بالتزامن مع نمو الإقبال على السفر».

وأضاف سعادة السيد أكبر الباكر: «لقد أصبحنا أكبر شركة طيران في العالم خلال هذه الأزمة، مع إجلاء أكثر من 1.8 مليون مسافر على متن ما يزيد عن 15 ألف رحلة طيران حلّقت لمسافة تجاوزت 50 مليون كيلو متر، لقد مكّننا هذا الأمر من اكتساب خبرات كبيرة إزاء كيفية نقل المسافرين بأمان واطمئنان في أصعب الأوقات، كما ساهمت رحلاتنا في الفترة الماضية في تمكيننا من البقاء على اطلاع بأحدث الإجراءات الاحترازية التي تتخذها المطارات لضمان أمن وسلامة المسافرين، مع تطبيق أحدث إجراءات السلامة والنظافة والتعقيم على متن طائراتنا وفي مطار حمد الدولي».

ثلاث رحلات

وسوف تسيّر الناقلة الوطنية لدولة قطر ثلاث رحلات أسبوعياً إلى البندقية على طائرة من طراز «بوينج 787 دريملاينر»، التي تضم 22 مقعداً على درجة رجال الأعمال، و232 مقعداً على الدرجة السياحية، وعزّزت الخطوط الجوية القطرية من إجراءات السلامة التي تطبقها على متن رحلاتها لحماية المسافرين وطواقم الطيران، وأجرت الناقلة الوطنية لدولة قطر حزمة من التعديلات على خدماتها، بما في ذلك ارتداء أفراد طاقم الضيافة العاملين على الرحلات لبدلة واقية، وتقديم الخدمات على الرحلات بشكل جديد يقلل من الاتصال بين الركاب والطاقم، ويتعين على كل المسافرين حالياً، ارتداء قناع للوجه يغطي الفم والأنف على متن رحلات الناقلة التي تدعو المسافرين إلى جلبه معهم، لكي يكونوا متأكدين من أريحيتهم به ومناسبته لهم، علماً بأن الناقلة ستوفر
