No need to pay semester fee in full before start of academic year in private schools: Ministry
الوزارة: لا حاجة لدفع رسوم الفصل الدراسي بالكامل قبل بداية العام الدراسي في المدارس الخاصة

The parents of children studying in private schools and kindergartens in Qatar are not required to pay the fees for the first semester in full before the start of the next academic year, Ministry of Education and Higher Education has said.
They need to pay only a portion of it as seat reservation fee before the school starts, Al Watan newspaper quoted a ministerial circular as saying.
The seat reservation fee is part of the semester fee and the schools and kindergartens cannot charge one on top of the other, the report added, citing the circular.
According to the daily, the circular requested the private school and kindergarten managements to give the parents at least two weeks from the date of receipt of the letter of intent to pay the seat reservation fees.
The circular stated that the school or kindergarten has the right to grant the seat to another student (on the waiting list) in the event that the guardian continues to not pay the seat reservation fee.

أصدرت إدارة تراخيص المدارس الخاصة تعميما ارسلته إلى المدارس الخاصة ورياض الاطفال أمس الثلاثاء، بخصوص استحقاق رسوم حجز المقعد للعام الدراسي ٢٠٢٠/٢٠٢١، حيث يحق للمدارس مطالبة اولياء الامور بسداد رسوم حجز المقعد، والتي بدأت بفترة التسجيل المبكر في شهر مارس، لضمان التعرف على الطلبة المستمرين للعام الدراسي القادم مع اعطاء ولي الأمر فرصة للسداد.
واوضح التعميم أن رسوم حجز المقعد تحتسب من رسوم الفصل الدراسي الأول ولا تعتبر منفصلة، ويحق للمدرسة أو الروضة منح المقعد لطالب آخر في قائمة الانتظار، في حال تأخر ولي الأمر عن سداد رسوم الحجز، مع مراعاة ابلاغ ولي الامر كتابيا، حتى يتسنى له إيجاد مدرسة أخرى مناسبة. كما يجب على المدارس عدم مطالبة ولي الأمر بسداد رسوم الفصل الأول كاملة، والاكتفاء بتحصيل رسوم حجز المقعد فقط.
