MME intensifies inspection of food establishments

The Ministry of Municipality and Environment (MME) has intensified inspection and awareness campaigns at food establishments across the country with the participation volunteers under the slogan “Your Safety Is My Safety.”
In Doha Municipality, volunteers participated with the health inspectors during an inspection and awareness tour of one of the major food complexes, where it was emphasized that all precautionary measures were taken and the required health requirements such as health certificates for workers, wearing of masks, gloves, and others provided.
In Al-Wakra Municipality, the Health Control Department carried out an inspection and awareness-raising tour of the food establishments with the participation of some volunteers.
In Al-Shahaniya municipality, health inspectors carried out inspection and awareness campaigns at food establishments with the participation of a number of volunteers, who were trained on food safety, how to inspect and the health procedures followed while accompanying health supervision inspectors.
Similarly, health inspectors, along with volunteers carried out an inspection and awareness campaign at Al-Khor and Al-Thakhira municipality’s one of the major consumer complexes.
Meanwhile, the health department of the Doha Municipality inspected 3,125 food establishments in various areas of the city in March during which 147 violations were detected. The violations were related to preparation of food in unsanitary conditions. The authorities issued closure notices for 47 food establishments.
Similarly, health inspectors of Al-Shahaniya Municipality inspected 458 food establishments in March during which 19 violations were detected.
The authorities issued four administrative closure decisions for three restaurants and a sweet shop.
واصلت وزارة البلدية والبيئة -ممثلة بأقسام الرقابة الصحية بالبلديات- حملاتها التفتيشية والتوعوية على المنشآت والمؤسسات الغذائية بمختلف مناطق الدولة، بمشاركة أعداد من المتطوعين، في إطار مبادرة وزارة البلدية والبيئة لدعم العمل التطوعي تحت شعار «سلامتك هي سلامتي».
ففي بلدية الدوحة، شاركت المتطوعات مع مفتشات قسم الرقابة الصحية في جولة تفتيشية وتوعوية بأحد المجمعات الغذائية الكبرى، وجرى التأكيد على اتخاذ الإجراءات الاحترازية كافة، وتوفير الاشتراطات الصحية المطلوبة؛ من الشهادات الصحية للعاملين، وارتداء الكمامات والقفازات وغيرها.
وفي بلدية الوكرة، نفَّذ قسم الرقابة الصحية جولة تفتيشية وتوعوية على المؤسسات الغذائية بمشاركة بعض المتطوعين، تم خلالها التأكد من التزامها بتطبيق الاشتراطات الصحية الواجبة؛ حفاظاً على صحة المستهلكين وسلامتهم. وفي بلدية الشيحانية، قام مفتشو الرقابة الصحية بتنفيذ حملة تفتيشية وتوعوية على المنشآت الغذائية، بمشاركة عدد من المتطوعين، الذين جرى تدريبهم على سلامة الأغذية وكيفية التفتيش والإجراءات الصحية المتبعة خلال مرافقتهم مفتشي الرقابة الصحية. وفي بلدية الخور والذخيرة، وضمن مبادرة الوزارة لدعم العمل التطوعي، نفَّذ قسم الرقابة الصحية حملة تفتيشية وتوعوية مع عدد من المتطوعين، على أحد المجمعات الاستهلاكية الكبرى التابعة للبلدية شملت مختلف أقسامه. وقام مفتشو البلدية خلال الحملة بشرح وتوضيح القواعد الأساسية في التفتيش للمتطوعين، وكذلك بعض الملاحظات المهمة في مجال الرقابة الصحية، وفقاً لقانون الأغذية الآدمية رقم (8) لسنة 1990، مع التنبيه على النواحي العلمية التي ترتكز عليها تلك اللوائح والقوانين.
