Five food outlets shut in Doha for violations

Inspection tours by Doha Municipality’s Health Control Section have led to the closure of five food establishments in the city for violations, the Ministry of Municipality and Environment (MME) has said.
A total of 105 inspection tours were conducted at food outlets across Doha on Sunday as part of the campaign to ensure the proper application of relevant food health and safety regulations.
These resulted in the issuance of 11 violation reports in accordance with Law No 8 of 1990 regarding the regulation of human food control, the MME said in a statement.
Besides, a restaurant and supermarket in the Najma area were immediately shut down for 30 days for keeping workers without valid health certificates.
In the Airport area, a restaurant, a sweet shop and a bakery were also immediately closed for five days for failing to abide by health regulations with regard to the handling and preparation of food stuff and meals, the statement noted.
Meanwhile, veterinarians from the section inspected 1,680kg of fish at the Al Corniche fish market and also checked 3,848 slaughtered carcasses of livestock at the automated central abattoir. Two of these carcasses were destroyed for being unfit for human consumption.
The inspectors also continued their inspection efforts of the vehicles that transport foodstuff and items at the Industrial Area,
The inspectors also continued to check food transport vehicles in the Industrial Area, where one violation was issued against a company that transported frozen foodstuff in unhealthy conditions.
The entire cargo in the vehicle was destroyed, the MME added.

تنفيذ جولات تفتيشية في الشمال والشحانية
في إطار جهود قسم الرقابة الصحية ببلدية الدوحة في مجال تطبيق الاشتراطات الصحية بالمؤسسات الغذائية، تم تنفيذ 105 جولات تفتيشية وتحرير 11 محضر مخالفة للقانون رقم ٨ لسنة 1990 بشأن تنظيم مراقبة الأغذية الآدمية.
وتم الإغلاق الفوري لمطعم وسوبر ماركت بمنطقة النجمة لمدة 30 يوماً لوجود عمال ليس لديهم شهادات صحية، كما تم إغلاق فوري لمطعم وحلواني ومخبز بمنطقة المطار لمدة 5 أيام لعدم تطبيق الاشتراطات الصحية وتداول أغذية جرى إعدادها وتحضيرها في ظروف غير صحية.
كما قام الأطباء البيطريون بالقسم بفحص 1680 كيلو جراماً من الأسماك بفرضة الكورنيش، و3848 ذبيحة بالمقصب الآلي المركزي وإتلاف 2 ذبيحة كاملة غير صالحة للاستهلاك الآدمي.
كما واصل مفتشو القسم التفتيش على سيارات نقل المواد الغذائية بالمنطقة الصناعية، حيث تم تحرير محضر مخالفة للقانون رقم 8 لسنة 1990، وذلك لقيام إحدى الشركات بنقل مواد غذائية مبردة في ظروف غير صحية، وقد تم إتلاف الكمية الموجودة بالسيارة بالكامل.
وقد نفَّذ قسم الرقابة العامة التابع لإدارة الرقابة البلدية ببلدية الدوحة خلال الفترة من 12 إلى 16 أبريل الجاري 140 تفتيش دوري شملت مختلف المناطق، واستقبال ومعالجة 13 شكوى وتحرير 2 محضر ضبط و7 محاضر تم التصالح بشأنها وإزالة أسباب المخالفة. كما تم رصد 74 مركبة مهملة ورفع 59 منها بالتنسيق مع الجهات المعنية.
من جهة ثانية، نفَّذ قسم الرقابة الصحية التابع لإدارة الرقابة البلدية ببلدية الشمال أمس الاول جولة تفتيشية على جميع أماكن ومحلات بيع وتداول المواد الغذائية، تم خلالها متابعة تطبيق الاشتراطات الصحية اللازمة، كما تم فحص 92 ذبيحة و 3760 كيلوجراماً من الأسماك.
بدورها واصلت بلدية الشيحانية ممثلة بقسم الرقابة الصحية التابع لإدارة الرقابة البلدية تكثيف جهودها التفتيشية على المنشآت الغذائية في إطار تشديد الرقابة ومتابعة التزام العاملين بتلك المنشآت بالتعليمات والإجراءات الصحية اللازمة.
