Customs foils attempt to smuggle narcotics inside tea bags

الجمارك تحبط عملية تهريب المخدرات في اكياس الشاي 

The General Authority of Customs at Hamad International Airport has foiled an attempt to smuggle an amount of narcotic which was secretly placed inside tea bags.

In a tweeted video on its social media account, the customs said that it has managed to thwart the smuggling of more than 5kg of narcotic substance.

Recently, the authorities concerned had thwarted an attempt to smuggle a quantity of cocaine into the country. 

The Airport Security Department had arrested a gang consisting of two women and a man, who attempted to smuggle 10 kilograms cocaine into the country. 

The authority has been issuing a continuous warning to those attempting to carry illegal substances into the country. Customs officials in the country are provided all means of support including developed means of systems

and continuous training to read the body language of passengers and to be aware of the latest methods followed by smugglers.

يوما بعد يوم تثبت جمارك مطار حمد الدولي قدرتها وحرصها على حماية أمن البلاد وأبناءها من المواد المخدرة حيث تمكنت الجمارك هذه المرة من إحباط تهريب كمية من مادة الشبو المخدرة تم وضعها بطريقة سرية داخل أكياس الشاي .

وقالت الجمارك في تغريدة على حسابها الرسمي بتويتر أن جمارك مطار حمد الدولي أحبطت عملية تهريب كمية من مادة الشبو المخدرة تم تهريبها بطريقة سرية داخل أكياس الشاي.

وأضافت جمارك المطار أن وزن المادة المخدرة بلغ ( 5 ) كيلو و ( 560 ) جراما.

والجدير بالذكر أن إدارة جمارك مطار حمد الدولي قامت بضبط محاولات عديدة لتهريب المواد الممنوعة مثل مادة الحشيش والماريجوانا والأقراص المحظور تداولها وغيرها، والتي تنوعت في طرق الإخفاء وكان مفتشو الجمارك لها بالمرصاد.

وتوفر الهيئة العامة للجمارك لموظفيها كل وسائل الدعم والتدريب المستمر حتى يكونوا على علم بأحدث وسائل وطرق التهريب التي يتبعها المهربون.
