Amir honours outstanding graduates of Police College

Amir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani patronised the graduation ceremony of the second batch of candidate students of the Ministry of Interior’s Police College at its headquarters in Al Sailiya, yesterday.

The ceremony was attended by Prime Minister and Interior Minister, H E Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani; Minister of Interior of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, H E Salameh Hammad; Minister of Internal Affairs of the  Republic of Moldova, H E Pavel Voicu; Minister of Internal Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, Colonel Kashkar Junushaliev, and Deputy Minister of Interior of the Republic of Turkey, H E Professor Tayyip Sabri Erdil.

It was also attended by a number of Their Excellencies the Ministers, heads of diplomatic missions in the State and senior officers of the Ministry of Defence, the Ministry of Interior, the State Security Bureau, the Amiri Guard and the Internal Security Force (Lekhwiya), in addition to a number of leaders of security and military colleges from brotherly and friendly countries.

At the beginning of the ceremony, the national anthem was played. Then commander of the graduates’ queue came forward to request H H the Amir to review the queue of the 110  graduates from the State of Qatar, the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, the State of Palestine and the Republic of Yemen.

After reciting verses from the Holy Quran and the performance of the graduates’ parade and the military parade, H H the Amir honoured the first seven outstanding graduates.

After that, the second batch handed over the flag to the third batch. The order for promotion was then read out and the parade queue left. Then, tomorrow’s officers of school students entered the parade. At the end of the ceremony, the second batch graduates took the oath and performed the anthem of the college.

Director-General of the Police College Brigadier Dr. Mohammed Abdullah Al Muhana delivered a speech on this occasion, in which he said “Today we celebrate the honour of Your Highness to graduate a distinguished constellation of candidate students from the second batch of the Police College who successfully passed the requirements for a bachelor’s degree in law and police science.”

The candidates, he said include 110 graduates, 89 of whom are Qatari from the Ministry of Interior and from a number of military entities in the country, and 21 from the sisterly Arab countries, including the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, the State of Palestine and the Republic of Yemen.

Brigadier Dr. Al Muhana said that the Police College provided its graduates with sciences and knowledge in the legal and police fields, as well as advanced training courses, expressing hope that they will work to enhance the capabilities of the Ministry of Interior and complete it path.

The Director-General of the Police College stressed in his speech that the blessing of security and safety that our dear country enjoys is nothing but the fruits of a wise leadership vision that put human dignity, happiness and security at the top of its priorities and goals, quoting H H the Amir as saying that humans are the most important aspect of building a nation and a country’s biggest investment, and that Qatar has invested in its youth and with them it will develop further.

He also stressed that the College seeks to confirm this through achieving quality in education and training by graduating a modern police officers with a high degree of efficiency and professionalism.

تفضل حضرة صاحب السمو الشيخ تميم بن حمد آل ثاني أمير البلاد المفدى، فشمل برعايته الكريمة، حفل تخريج الدفعة الثانية من الطلبة المرشحين بكلية الشرطة التابعة لوزارة الداخلية، وذلك بمقر الكلية بمنطقة السيلية، صباح أمس.

حضر الحفل معالي الشيخ عبدالله بن ناصر بن خليفة آل ثاني رئيس مجلس الوزراء وزير الداخلية، وسعادة السيد سلامة حماد السحيم وزير الداخلية بالمملكة الأردنية الهاشمية الشقيقة، وسعادة السيد بافيل فيكو وزير الشؤون الداخلية بجمهورية مولدوفا، وسعادة اللواء قاشقار جونوشاليف وزير الداخلية في الجمهورية القيرغيزية، وسعادة البروفيسور طيب صبري أبرديل نائب وزير الداخلية بالجمهورية التركية الشقيقة، وعدد من أصحاب السعادة الوزراء، ورؤساء البعثات الدبلوماسية في الدولة، وكبار ضباط وزارة الدفاع، ووزارة الداخلية، وجهاز أمن الدولة، والحرس الأميري، وقوة لخويا، بالإضافة إلى عدد من قيادات الكليات والمعاهد والأكاديميات الأمنية والعسكرية والجامعية من الدول الشقيقة والصديقة.

في بداية الحفل عزف النشيد الوطني، وتلاه استئذان قائد الطابور لسمو الأمير المفدى، بتفتيش طابور الخريجين، البالغ عددهم 110 خريجين من دولة قطر، والمملكة الأردنية الهاشمية، ودولة فلسطين، والجمهورية اليمنية.

وبعد تلاوة آيات من الذكر الحكيم، وعرض مسير طابور الخريجين والاستعراض العسكري، قام سمو الأمير بتكريم أوائل الطلبة الخريجين وعددهم سبعة، من ثم تم استلام وتسليم العلم من الدفعة الثانية إلى الدفعة الثالثة، وقراءة أمر التعيين، وانصراف طابور العرض، ودخول طابور ضباط الغد من طلبة المدارس.. وفي نهاية الحفل أدى ضباط الدفعة الثانية القسم، ونشيد الكلية.

وكان العميد الدكتور محمد عبدالله المحنا مدير عام كلية الشرطة، قد ألقى كلمة بهذه المناسبة، قال فيها: «يشرفني بكل معاني الفخر والاعتزاز أن أرحب بمقام سموكم الكريم في رحاب كلية الشرطة في هذا اليوم المبارك الذي يواكب تخريج الدفعة الثانية من الطلبة المرشحين ممن اجتازوا متطلبات الدراسة بنجاح لنيل درجة البكالوريوس في القانون والعلوم الشرطية، وعددهم 110 خريجين، منهم 89 قطرياً من وزارة الداخلية، وعدد من الجهات العسكرية في الدولة، و21 من الدول العربية الشقيقة من المملكة الأردنية الهاشمية، ودولة فلسطين، والجمهورية اليمنية».

وأوضح العميد المحنا أن الكلية قدمت لخريجيها العلوم والمعارف في المجالات القانونية والشرطية، فضلاً عن اجتيازهم دورات تدريبية متقدمة «مما يجعلنا نعقد عليهم آمالاً كبيرة في تعزيز قدرات وزارة الداخلية، واستكمال مسيرة العطاء».

وأكد مدير عام كلية الشرطة، في كلمته، أن نعمة الأمن والأمان التي يتمتع به الوطن الغالي ما هي إلا ثمار رؤية قيادة حكيمة، والتي وضعت نصب عينيها كرامة الإنسان وسعادته وأمنه على رأس أولوياتها وأهدافها، مستشهداً بمقولة حضرة صاحب السمو أمير البلاد المفدى (حفظه الله ورعاه) «أن الإنسان هو أهم لبنات بناء هذا الوطن وأعظم استثماراته.. فيكم استثمرت قطر وبكم تعلو ومنكم تنتظر»، لافتاً إلى السعي التام لتأكيد ذلك من خلال تحقيق الجودة في التعليم والتدريب بتخريج ضابط شرطة عصري على درجة عالية من الكفاءة والمهنية.
