World Cup 2022 security leaders’ training commences
تأهيل الضباط المشاركين في تأمين مونديال 2022
A training programme for bronze-level security leaders for the 2022 FIFA World Cup got under way in Doha on Sunday.
The programme, organised by the Qualifying and Training Unit of the Security Committee at the Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy (SC), will continue for 11 weeks.
Twenty-one officers who will be involved in securing the 2022 World Cup are participating in this phase of the training, the Ministry of Interior (MoI) has said in a statement.
Captain Majid al-Qahtani, officer from the Qualifying and Training Unit, said the training programme is internationally accredited by the British Institute for Leadership and Management.
He said the programme targets a total of 400 officers from the MoI, Internal Security Force (Lekhwiya) and the Armed Forces,
“The participants are engaged in integrated training in developing leadership skills, maintaining public order, securing major sports events, securing stadiums, theoretical courses on human rights and how to deal with the media,” Captain al-Qahtani explained, adding that the programme requires the participants to carry out local and international exercises and participation.
He stressed that the programme aims to qualify Qatari officers to lead the tasks related to securing sports facilities for the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
The officers are selected based on strict standards and trained in accordance with the latest training systems that meet the requirements of FIFA, he added.
“Qatar is always investing in human capital as it’s the decisive factor in defining the features of societies and the future of its members,” Captain al-Qahtani said.
تواصلت أمس الأحد فعاليات برنامج تأهيل القيادات الأمنية لكأس العالم 2022 (المستوى البرونزي)، الذي تنظّمه وحدة التأهيل والتدريب باللجنة الأمنية في اللجنة العليا للمشاريع والإرث لمدة 11 أسبوعاً، ويشارك في هذه المرحلة 21 من الضباط المشاركين في تأمين مونديال كأس العالم 2022.
وأكد النقيب علي ماجد القحطاني -ضابط وحدة التأهيل والتدريب- أن هذه الدورة تأتي لتأهيل المجموعة العاشرة لعام 2019، التي يشارك فيها 21 من الضباط المشاركين في تأمين مونديال كأس العالم 2022. مشيراً إلى أن هذا البرنامج التدريبي معتمد دولياً؛ كونه حاصلاً على اعتماد المعهد البريطاني للقيادة والإدارة.
وقال: «البرنامج مدته أحد عشر أسبوعاً، يستهدف 400 ضابط من وزارة الداخلية وقوة لخويا والقوات المسلحة الأميرية». موضحاً أن المشاركين في البرنامج يخوضون تدريبات متكاملة في تنمية المهارات القيادية، وحفظ النظام العام، وتأمين الأحداث الرياضية الكبرى، وتأمين الملاعب، ودروس نظرية حول حقوق الإنسان، وكيفية التعامل مع وسائل الإعلام، حيث إن من متطلبات البرنامج القيام بتمارين ومشاركات محلية ودولية». وأشار إلى أن البرنامج يهدف إلى تأهيل كادر من الضباط القطريين المتميّزين لقيادة مهام تأمين المنشآت الرياضية الخاصة بمباريات كأس العالم 2022، حيث اختيروا وفق معايير دقيقة، ويجري تدريبهم وفق أحدث منظومات التدريب عالمياً، التي تتوافق مع متطلبات الاتحاد الدولي لكرة القدم (الفيفا)؛ فدولة قطر دائماً ما تستثمر في رأس المال البشري بوصفه العامل الحاسم في تحديد ملامح المجتمعات ومستقبل أفراده.
