Temporary Closure on Part of Jeryan Nejaima Street
إغلاق مؤقت لجزء من شارع جريان نجيمة
The Public Works Authority ‘Ashghal’ announces that it will implement a temporary closure on part of Jeryan Nejaima Street, on both directions from its intersection with Awjab Al Dakhla Street to its intersection with Al Tarfa Street. The closure will start on Thursday 13 June and will be in place until end of October 2019, in coordination with the General Directorate of Traffic.
During this period, eastbound traffic on Al Tarfa Street wishing to reach Jeryan Nejaima Street, will have to turn right into Umm Al Megareen Street, then left to Awjab Al Dakhla Street, and to Jeryan Nejaima Street. Road users heading from Jeryan Nejaima Street to Al Tarfa Street, will have to turn left into Awjab Al Dakhla Street, then right to Umm Al Megareen Street, and to Al Tarfa Street, as shown in the attached map.
This temporary closure is part of Al Tarfa Intersection development works, which aim to increase the intersection’s capacity through providing additional lanes, as well as improving the street lighting, upgrading the stormwater and TSE networks, installing interlock, landscaping, and protecting Ooredoo and KAHRAMAA lines under the roads.
In order to minimise the impact of construction works on traffic movement on Al Tarfa Street, Ashghal will later close only one lane of the street at each stage of construction within the project, after coordination with the General Directorate of Traffic.
The Public Works Authority will install road signs advising motorists of the closure. Ashghal requests all road users to abide by the speed limit, and follow the road signs to ensure their safety.
تعلن هيئة الأشغال العامة “أشغال” أنه سيتم تنفيذ إغلاق مؤقت لجزء من شارع جريان نجيمة في الاتجاهين من تقاطعه مع شارع أوجاب الدخلة إلى تقاطعه مع شارع الطرفة، وذلك اعتباراً من الخميس 13 يونيو وحتى نهاية أكتوبر 2019، وبالتنسيق مع الإدارة العامة للمرور.
وخلال فترة الإغلاق، يمكن للمتجهين شرقاً على شارع الطرفة والراغبين في الوصول إلى شارع جريان نجيمة الانعطاف لليمين إلى شارع أم المقارين ومنه يساراً إلى شارع أوجاب الدخلة وصولاً إلى شارع جريان نجيمة، أما المتجهين من شارع جريان نجيمة إلى شارع الطرفة، فيتوجب عليهم الانعطاف يساراً إلى شارع أوجاب الدخلة ثم يميناً إلى شارع أم المقارين ومنه إلى شارع الطرفة، كما هو موضح في الخريطة المرفقة.
يأتي هذا الإغلاق المؤقت ضمن أعمال تطوير تقاطع الطرفة والذي يهدف إلى زيادة القدرة الاستيعابية للتقاطع من خلال توفير مسارات إضافية، وأعمال إنارة الطريق، وتجديد شبكة تصريف مياه الأمطار، وشبكة معالجة مياه الصرف الصحي، وتركيب الانترلوك، وتنفيذ أعمال التشجير، وحماية التمديدات الخاصة بأوريدو وكهرماء والموجودة تحت الطرق.
ولتقليل أثر الأعمال الإنشائية على الحركة المرورية ضمن شارع الطرفة، ستقوم الهيئة لاحقاً بإغلاق مسار واحد فقط من الشارع في كل مرحلة من المراحل الإنشائية للمشروع بعد التنسيق مع الإدارة العامة للمرور.
كما ستقوم هيئة الأشغال العامة بتركيب اللوحات الإرشادية لتنبيه مستخدمي الطريق بهذا الإغلاق، ومن ثم تهيب الهيئة بجميع مستخدمي الطريق الالتزام بحدود السرعة المسموحة واتباع اللوحات الإرشادية حفاظاً على سلامتهم.
