List of 2019 Summer Camps in Qatar to keep your children busy

Summer is here and that means schools will soon close for long holidays. This is a good time for children to pick up a new skill – be it sports, music or arts – by joining one of the many summer camps held by various organisations in Qatar. These camps will keep the young ones busy and make new friends.

We have collated a list of summer camps in Qatar to help parents choose the right one for their kids to help them learn and develop new skills and indulge in various activities like dance, music, arts, sports, etc. over the summer break.

 

Aspire Zone Foundation

Aspire Zone Foundation has announced its second summer camp for kids, featuring a wide variety of sporting, art and culture activities.

Boys and girls aged from 6 to 13 years old can attend the camp four days a week.

The camp’s programme includes a variety of activities such as football, volleyball, athletics, taekwondo, gymnastics, aerobics and recreational games.

Children can also take part in field trips to a number of distinctive destinations in Doha, as well as attend courses in planting, reading, arts and crafts.

The fees for registration is QR2000 and the fees are non-refundable.

IAID Summer Workshop 2019

IAID has many summer activities panned out for children with their summer workshop.

Little Ballerinas, Gym String With Me, Lil’ Swagger, Bolly Beats, Mini Concerto, PainTastic, CLAYground are few of the many activities organised by IAID.

Engineering For Kids

At Engineering For Kids, children are introduced to engineering concepts through activities like building Rockets, battling Robots and even programming their own video games.

Different camps will be held each week, so children have the option to choose a camp based on their liking.

Step by Step Centre for Special Needs

Step by Step Centre for Special Needs is organising a Summer School Program.

All therapists and teachers will be working together, running individual, peer and group sessions within classes. The children will continue learning age-appropriate concepts, work on social skills, life skills training, arts & crafts, music, and fun activities such as water play.

VCUarts Qatar Summer Program 2019

Virginia Commonwealth University School of the Arts in Qatar (VCUarts Qatar) in Education City has launched the 2019 edition of its summer art and design program for children and high school students. The classes will start on June 29 and run until early August.

The classes are open to children from age four to age 16 and above, and will range from fashion design, interior design, app design, video game design and t-shirt design, to painting, printmaking, collage making, fashion illustration, and robots and many more.

The price for registering for the event ranges from QR 700 to QR 3000.

Qipco Compound has organised a Multi Sports Summer Camp which include activities like Football, Swimming, Tennis, Hip/Hop, Basketball, Martial Arts, Ballet, Arts & Craft, Obstacle Races, Dodgeball, Ping-Pong, Squash. Children aged 4 to 16 years can take part in the camp.

Classes will be held every Sunday to Thursday. Parents are advised to send swimsuit, sunscreen and a snack or lunch for their children.

The camp costs QR700 per week, and a 10% sibling discount can be availed.

Mamangam Performing Art Centre

Mamangam Performing Art Centre have a number of indoor activities planned for the children who will be joining the summer camp. The activities include hip hop, urban dance, dance in rythym to bollywood songs, drawing, painting, coloring, kids yoga, musical training, karate, personality development, public speaking skills and fun games.

The price per batch is QR600 and the institute will also provide transport with an additional fee of QR180 within Doha area and QR200 for Wakra area.
