Shura Council Speaker meets Ambassadors of China and Pakistan
رئيس «الشورى» يدعم العلاقات البرلمانية مع الصين وباكستان
The Speaker of the Shura Council, H E Ahmed bin Abdullah bin Zaid Al Mahmoud, met separately yesterday with the Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to the State of Qatar, Li Chen, and the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Syed Ahsan Raza Shah.
During the meetings, they discussed the bilateral relations and the ways to bolster and develop them, particularly in the parliamentary area. The meetings also reviewed a number of topics of common interest.
The Ambassadors praised the great success of the 140th General Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU), held in Doha in April under the chairmanship of the Speaker of the Council, and the distinct arrangements and organisation which had a major impact in achieving its success. The meetings were attended by a number of officials of the Shura Council.
اجتمع سعادة السيد أحمد بن عبدالله بن زيد آل محمود رئيس مجلس الشورى أمس، مع سعادة السيد لي تشن سفير جمهورية الصين الشعبية، وسعادة السيد سيد أحسن رضا شاه سفير جمهورية باكستان الإسلامية لدى الدولة، كل على حدة.
جرى خلال الاجتماعين بحث العلاقات الثنائية بين دولة قطر وكل من جمهورية الصين الشعبية وجمهورية باكستان الإسلامية، وسبل دعمها وتطويرها، خاصة في المجال البرلماني، كما تم استعراض عدد من الموضوعات ذات الاهتمام المشترك.
وأشاد كل من سعادة السفير الصيني وسعادة السفير الباكستاني بالنجاح الكبير الذي حققته اجتماعات الدورة الـ 140 للاتحاد البرلماني الدولي، التي انعقدت بالدوحة في شهر أبريل الماضي برئاسة سعادة رئيس مجلس الشورى، وبما تميزت به من ترتيب وتنظيم كان له أثر كبير في تحقيق هذا النجاح، حضر الاجتماعين عدد من المسؤولين بمجلس الشورى.
