QC implements Iftar and food projects in Gaza and Sudan
موائد إفطار جماعية وسلال غذائية من «قطر الخيرية» لأسر الأيتام في غزة والسودان
Doha: Qatar Charity (QC) organised many collective Iftars for orphans under its sponsorship and distributed food baskets to them and their families in Gaza and Sudan for the holy month of Ramadan.
The implementation of the Iftar project and the distribution of food baskets come as part of Qatar Charity’s “Ramadan, the Gift of Giving” campaign for this year.
Qatar Charity has so far organised six Iftars for orphans and their families across the Gaza Strip, Palestine, benefiting 2,300 orphans. These Iftars also included recreational activities, toys, and gifts to bring joy to orphans.
Qatar Charity’s office in the Gaza Strip has already implemented a project to provide food baskets, through direct shopping, for orphans and families in need, as part of the Iftar project to contribute to alleviating the economic and social pressures on 5,866 families of orphans, the poor and people with special needs sponsored by Qatar Charity.
The Director of Qatar Charity’s office in the Gaza Strip, Eng. Mohammed Abu Haloub, said the cost of the Iftar Project, which includes the distribution of coupons and collective Iftars for orphans and their families, amounted to 990,000 riyals.
The number of those sponsored by Qatar Charity in the Gaza Strip exceeds 15,000 persons, who receive cash and in-kind assistance on a regular basis. Qatar Charity also continues to implement development projects there.
Besides Gaza, Qatar Charity’s office in Khartoum distributed 600 food baskets to orphans under its sponsorship in the River Nile State of Sudan. Qatar Charity will also distribute 1000 food baskets to orphans whom it sponsors in the Khartoum State.
The number of those sponsored by Qatar Charity in Sudan is 13,420, including 12,094 orphans.
في إطار مواصلة تنفيذ مشاريعها الرمضانية عبر العالم، ضمن حملة «رمضان أجمل هدية» لعام 1440هـ، نفذت «قطر الخيرية» عدداً من الإفطارات الجماعية لمكفوليها من الأيتام، كما وزعت لهم ولأسرهم سلالاً غذائية لتوفير المواد التموينية الأساسية التي يحتاجونها طيلة الشهر الكريم.
ففي قطاع غزة تواصل «قطر الخيرية» تنفيذ إفطارات للأطفال الأيتام المكفولين من قبلها في القطاع، حيث أقامت حتى الآن 6 إفطارات على مستوى محافظات القطاع، جمعت الأيتام مع أسرهم، إحداها أقيمت في معهد الأمل للأيتام، وخمسة أخريات أقيمت في صالات سياحية، وقد بلغ عدد المستفيدين منها 2300 يتيم.
وسبق أن نفذ مكتب «قطر الخيرية» في قطاع غزة، مشروع توفير سلال غذائية عبر التسوق المباشر للأيتام والأسرة المحتاجة المكفولة، وذلك ضمن مشروع إفطار الصائم، بهدف التخفيف من الضغوط الاقتصادية والاجتماعية عن كاهل 5866 أسرة من الأيتام والفقراء وذوي الاحتياجات الخاصة المكفولين من قبل «قطر الخيرية».
وأكد مدير مكتب «قطر الخيرية» في قطاع غزة، المهندس محمد أبو حلوب، أن تكلفة مشروع إفطار الصائم، بما يتضمنه من توزيع قسائم شرائية وإفطارات جماعية للأطفال الأيتام وذويهم، بلغت 990,000 ريال.
وأفاد بأن الهدف من المشروع إدخال البهجة على الأطفال الأيتام وأسرهم، فضلاً عن دعم الأسر المعوزة اقتصادياً واجتماعياً، والتخفيف من الضغوط والأعباء المتراكمة على كاهل الفقراء.
وشدد على أن «قطر الخيرية» مستمرة في مشاريعها القائمة على رعاية الأسر الفقيرة والمحتاجة، لافتاً في الوقت نفسه إلى المشاريع التنموية التي تصب في خدمة الشعب الفلسطيني، كالمشاريع التعليمية والإنشائية والاجتماعية وغيرها.
وعلى نحو متصل، وزعت «قطر الخيرية»، من خلال مكتبها في الخرطوم سلالاً رمضانية على أيتامها المكفولين بولاية نهر النيل السودانية، حيث تم توزيع 600 سلة تحتوي على المواد التموينية الأساسية، كما تم التوزيع في مدينة الشيخة عائشة العطية -رحمها الله- النموذجية لرعاية الأيتام التابعة لقطر الخيرية، كما ستقوم قطر الخيرية بتوزيع 1000 سلة غذائية رمضانية لأيتامها المكفولين بولاية الخرطوم.
