Qatar, India discuss transport and aviation ties

Minister of Transport and Communications H E Jassim bin Saif Al Sulaiti held talks with India’s Minister of State for Civil Aviation, Jayant Sinha, on the sidelines of his participation in the Global Aviation Summit that opened in Mumbai yesterday. The two ministers discussed aspects of cooperation in the fields of transport and aviation services and means of further enhancing them. They also discussed means of benefiting from potential investment opportunities in these areas, in addition to a number of matters of common interest. Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive Akbar Al Baker, Civil Aviation Authority Chairman Abdullah bin Nasser Turki Al Subaey and Qatar’s Consul General in Mumbai, Saif bin Ali Al Kashashi Almohannadi, attended the meeting.

اجتمع سعادة السيد جاسم بن سيف السليطي وزير المواصلات والاتصالات، مع سعادة السيد جايانت سينها وزير الدولة لشؤون الطيران المدني في جمهورية الهند، وذلك على هامش مشاركة سعادته في القمة العالمية للطيران التي انطلقت أعمالها أمس، بمدينة مومباي.

جرى خلال الاجتماع بحث أوجه التعاون في مجالات خدمات النقل والطيران، والسبل الكفيلة بتعزيزها، إضافة إلى بحث إمكانية الاستفادة من الفرص الاستثمارية المتاحة في هذه المجالات، فضلاً عن بحث عدد من الموضوعات ذات الاهتمام المشترك بين البلدين الصديقين.

حضر الاجتماع سعادة السيد أكبر الباكر، الرئيس التنفيذي لمجموعة الخطوط الجوية القطرية، وسعادة السيد عبد الله بن ناصر تركي السبيعي رئيس الهيئة العامة للطيران المدني، وسعادة السيد سيف بن علي الكشاشي المهندي القنصل العام لدولة قطر في مومباي بجمهورية الهند.;
