Department of Meteorology warns strong wind and high sea

Doha: Weather inshore until 6pm on Thursday will be scattered clouds with slight dust to blowing dust at places at times and cold by night, warning of expected strong wind over most areas, the Department of Meteorology said in its daily weather report.
Offshore, it will be partly cloudy at times, warning of expected strong wind and high sea, the report added. The department on its twitter account said that the windy conditions are expected to continue in the next two days and advised residents to avoid marine activities as wave height reaches 8 Ft according to latest observations.
This shift is the effect of a ridge of high pressure accompanied with fresh to strong northwesterly wind that will continue to have its impact till Saturday, January 12.
Qatar Meteorology had said expects this would cause high waves, rising dust especially in open areas as well as a significant drop in temperatures by about 4 to 6 degrees compared with previous days.
Maximum temperature in Doha is expected to drop to 22°C and the minimum to 15°C, whereas a minimum temperature of less than 10 degrees is expected in southern areas.
However, the apparent temperature is less due to the wind chill effect with cold conditions in general especially during night and early morning. Wave height expected to range between 4 to 8 ft reaching 13ft at times.
Meanwhile, today’s report added that wind inshore will be northwesterly 15 to 25 knot, reaching to 32 knot at places at times and offshore, it will be northwesterly 18 to 28 knot, reaching to 38 knot at times.
Visibility will be 4 to 08 kilometers, decreasing to 3 kilometers or less at places at times.
Sea state inshore will be 2 to 4 feet, rises to five feet at times. Offshore, it will be 7 to 9 feet, rises to 15 feet at times.
حذرت إدارة الأرصاد الجوية من رياح قوية متوقعة على معظم المناطق على الساحل، ومن رياح قوية متوقعة مع امواج عالية ليلا في البحر، وتوقعت أن يصاحب الطقس حتى الساعة السادسة من مساء اليوم سحب متفرقة مع غبار خفيف الى غبار مثار على بعض المناطق احيانا وبارد ليلا على الساحل، وأن يكون غائما جزئيا أحيانا في البحر.
وتكون الرياح على الساحل شمالية عربية بسرعة تتراوح بين 15 الى 25 عقدة، مع هبات تصل إلى 32 عقدة على بعض المناطق احيانا.. وفي البحر تكون الرياح شمالية غربية بسرعة تتراوح بين 18 و 28 عقدة مع هبات تصل إلى 38 عقدة احيانا.
ويتراوح مدى الرؤية الأفقية بين 4 و 8 كيلومترات، ويقل إلى 3 كيلومترات أو أقل على بعض المناطق.
ويتراوح ارتفاع الموج على الساحل بين قدمين واربع أقدام يرتفع إلى 5 اقدام احيانا .. وبين 7 إلى 9 اقدام ويرتفع إلى 15 قدما احيانا داخل البحر.
أقصى درجة حرارة متوقعة في الدوحة 23 درجة مئوية.

الدوحة : أعلى مد في الساعة السابعة و 8 دقائق صباحا.. وأدنى جزر في الثالثة و4 دقائق عصرا.
الوكرة : أعلى مد في الثامنة و 19 دقيقة صباحا.
مسيعيد: أعلى مد في الثامنة و 56 دقيقة صباحا.
الخور: أعلى مد في السادسة و 52 دقيقة صباحا.. وأدنى جزر في الثانية و39 دقيقة عصرا.
الرويس: أعلى مد في السابعة و11 دقيقة صباحا.. وأدنى جزر في الثانية و8 دقائق ظهرا.
دخان: أعلى مد في الثانية عشرة و 49 دقيقة ظهرا.. وأدنى جزر في السادسة و 48 دقيقة صباحا.
تغرب الشمس بحول الله تعالى، في تمام الساعة الخامسة ودقيقة واحدة.
