Cleanliness Department removes 1,410 tonnes of waste in December
البلدية ترفع 1410 أطنان مخلفات من الدوحة والريان خلال ديسمبر الماضي
Doha: The Ministry of Municipality and Environment, represented by the General Cleanliness Department has intensified operations in Doha and Al Rayyan areas to remove the wastes that were thrown randomly.
The Department removed 1,410 tonnes of waste in December 2018. “These cleaning campaigns are part of the programmes implemented by the Department to clean the various areas of the country and remove the waste, especially those dumped by anonymous source,” said Safar Mubarak Al Shafi, the Director of General Cleanliness Department. He said such campaigns do not affect daily work programmes as the work agenda was developed on the priority basis as per the need of the areas.
He said that a plan for the implementation of the programme has been developed in accordance with the priorities of the areas, pointing out that this helped to accomplish many of the work that included several areas in the State during the last period.
Al Shafi called on citizens, residents and private sector not to dump waste randomly, especially construction and solid waste, urging them to remove and transport it to the final disposal sites in the places designated by the State.
قامت وزارة البلدية والبيئة ممثلة في إدارة النظافة العامة بتكثيف عملياتها بمنطقة الدوحة والريان لإزالة المخلفات التي تم رميها عشوائياً، حيث تم رفع نحو 1410 أطنان من المخلفات في شهر ديسمبر الماضي.
وذكر السيد سفر مبارك آل شافي مدير إدارة النظافة العامة بالوزارة، أن هذه الحملات تأتي في إطار البرامج التي تنفذها الإدارة لتنظيف المناطق المختلفة بالدولة وإزالة المخلفات وبخاصة مجهولة المصدر التي يتم رميها عشوائياً .. مشيراً إلى أن مثل هذه البرامج الخاصة لا تؤثر على برامج العمل اليومية.
وأوضح في هذا الصدد أنه تم وضع خطة تنفيذ برنامج وفقا لأولويات المناطق.. لافتا إلى أن ذلك ساعد في إنجاز العديد من الأعمال التي شملت عدة مناطق بالدولة خلال الفترة الماضية.
ودعا آل شافي المواطنين والمقيمين وأصحاب الشركات من القطاع الخاص إلى ضرورة عدم رمي المخلفات عشوائيا، خاصة المخلفات الإنشائية والصلبة، وأن يتم رفعها وترحيلها من قبل أصحابها إلى مواقع التخلص النهائي في الأماكن التي حددتها الدولة.
