Barwa Bank announces draw winners of Thara’a savings account prize

Barwa Bank has announced the names of the winners for the October draw of Thara’a, its Shariah-compliant savings account, in a ceremony held at the bank’s headquarters under the supervision of a representative of the qualitative licence and market control department at the Ministry of Economy and Commerce.

Nouf Ibrahim al-Sada and Haytham Mohamed al-Ahmed each won a cash prize of QR50,000. Also, a cash prize worth QR25,000 was awarded to Noora Mohamed al-Naimi and Khalid Jumah al-Marzouqi, respectively.

Thara’a offers account holders the chance to benefit from cash rewards up to QR1mn, a first for Islamic banks in Qatar. Based on several criteria, Thara’a account holders are eligible for a number of periodic draws for cash prizes. Totalling QR3.3mn, Thara’a cash rewards are distributed on both a monthly and biannual basis to customers holding a minimum balance of QR10,000.

On a monthly basis, there are 21 winners per draw for the cash prize of QR5,000 each, as well as two winners per draw for the cash prize of QR10,000.

Additionally, twice-a-year, there are two winners per draw for the cash prize of QR25,000 each, two winners per draw for the cash prize of QR50,000 each, and yearly, there are two winners of the grand prize of QR1mn for each winner, rewarding 194 winners in total with cash prizes up to QR3.3mn.

ويقدّم حساب «ثراء» للعملاء فرصة الفوز بجوائز نقدية تصل إلى 1.000.000 ريال، للمرة الأولى في قطاع البنوك الإسلامية في قطر؛ إذ يحصل العملاء المؤهلون على فرصة الاشتراك بناءً على معايير متعددة في سحوبات دورية على جوائز نقدية شهرية ونصف سنوية بقيمة 3.300.000 ريال، شريطة ألا يتدنى مبلغ الإيداع عن 10.000 ريال.
