Qatar welcomes peace agreement in South Sudan
دولة قطر ترحب باتفاق فرقاء جنوب السودان وتشيد بجهود الخرطوم
Qatar has welcomed the final agreement to end the civil war and share power in South Sudan, which was signed in Khartoum, praising the active and pivotal role of Khartoum in bringing the parties together and bridging the gap between them.
In a statement yesterday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that Qatar is confident that the agreement would represent a new beginning and consolidate the foundations of stability and security, and through which all parties could turn a page on a war-laden past.
Qatar has urges all parties to the agreement and relevant regional and international institutions to co-operate and work constructively to support South Sudan and its people in order to activate and maintain the agreement and resume the development process, the statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs added.
أعلنت دولة قطر عن ترحيبها بتوقيع الاتفاق النهائي لإنهاء الحرب الأهلية وتقاسم السلطة في جمهورية جنوب السودان والذي تم توقيعه في الخرطوم، مشيدة بالدور الفعال والمحوري الذي لعبته الخرطوم في تقريب وجهات النظر بين الفرقاء والعمل على رأب الصدع بينهم إلى أن وصلوا لهذه اللحظة المهمة.
وقالت وزارة الخارجية، في بيان اليوم، إن دولة قطر تأمل أن يمثل هذا الاتفاق بداية جديدة في سبيل ترسيخ أسس الاستقرار والأمن وأن تطوي من خلالها جميع الأطراف صفحة الماضي المثقل بالحروب.
وأضاف البيان أن دولة قطر تحث جميع أطراف الاتفاق والمؤسسات الإقليمية والدولية المعنية للتعاون والعمل البناء لدعم جنوب السودان وشعبه في سبيل تفعيل الاتفاق والمحافظة عليه واستئناف مسيرة التنمية.
