صاحب السمو ورئيس زيمبابوي يعززان العلاقات المشتركة
DOHA: Amir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and the President of the Republic of Zimbabwe, Emmerson Mnangagwa, held yesterday a session of official talks at the Amiri Diwan.
H H the Amir welcomed the President and the accompanying delegation, wishing them a good visit and hoping the visit would help in developing relations between the two countries on all fronts in a way that serves everyone.
The President of Zimbabwe thanked H H the Amir for the good reception and warm hospitality, expressing his delight to visit the State of Qatar and reaffirming that he hopes through the visit to deepen ties of bilateral cooperation in common fields.
The talks touched on means of boosting and developing bilateral relations and prospects of cooperation between the two countries, particularly in the fields of investment and agriculture. The session also discussed a number of issues of common concern.
H H the Amir and the visiting President witnessed the signing of an agreement on economic, trade and technical cooperation between the governments of the State of Qatar and the Republic of Zimbabwe.
A number of Their Excellencies Ministers attended the session and the signing. On the Zimbabwean side, a number of members of the official delegation accompanying the president attended.
H H the Amir hosted a luncheon banquet at the Amiri Diwan yesterday in honour of the President of Zimbabwe and the delegation accompanying him.
The President hailed Qatar’s cultural institutions and its cultural infrastructure that supports creativity.
This came in remarks to Qatar News Agency (QNA) on the sidelines of his visit to Cultural Village Foundation (Katara) last evening. The President described Katara as a unique institution that cares about the world’s cultures, noting that it also cares about preserving the Qatari heritage, especially for the transfer of the cultural heritage of previous generations to the new ones.
He stressed that this building is a unique monument behind which great efforts are being made to be a cultural beacon not only for the people of Qatar but also for the world and for future generations to benefit from this cultural heritage.
The President wrote remarks in a memorial book of Katara expressing his admiration of Katara, which he described as a treasure that must be preserved.
The President and his accompanying delegation toured Katara, accompanied by Director General of Katara Dr. Khaled Al Sulaiti, who gave a detailed explanation of Katara’s most important features, including the Amphitheater, the Opera House, and Sout Al Khaleej radio.

وتعتبر زيارة رئيس زيمبابوي هي السادسة لزعيم إفريقي إلى الدوحة منذ فرض الحصار، ما يؤكد انحياز القارة السمراء للموقف القطري من الأزمة الخليجية.;
