“MoPH” Announces the results of analysis of Australian sweet melon fruit samples
The Ministry of Public Health announced that the results of laboratory analysis of samples of melon fruit originating from Australia, which were withdrawn from the market showed their safety and free of bacteria Lasteria and other types of bacteria such as Salmonella and Escherichia coli.
The ministry withdrew the suspected melon from the outlets after receiving a global notification that it might be contaminated with Lysteria. As a precautionary measure, the ministry seized a new consignment after the notification and decided to destroy all imported and withdrawn quantities.
The ministry has also taken other precautionary measures to prevent the importation of any new shipments of melons suspected of being safe.
The Ministry of Public Health explains that it works with all other stakeholders to ensure that the highest standards of safety and food safety are implemented.

أعلنت وزارة الصحة العامة أن نتائج التحليل المخبري لعينات من فاكهة الشمام منشأ استراليا والتي تم سحبها من الأسواق بينت سلامتها وخلوها من بكتيريا اللستيريا وأنواع أخرى من البكتيريا كالسالمونيلا والاشريكية القولونية.
وكانت الوزارة سحبت الشمام المشتبه في سلامته من منافذ البيع، بعد تلقيها إخطاراً عالمياً لاحتمال تلوثها ببكتيريا اللستيريا، وكإجراء احترازي قامت الوزارة بالتحفظ على إرسالية جديدة وصلت بعد الإخطار، واتخذت قراراً بإتلاف جميع الكميات المستوردة وتلك التي تم سحبها من السوق.
كما اتخذت الوزارة إجراءات احترازية أخرى بمنع استيراد أي إرساليات جديدة من الشمام المشتبه في سلامته.
وتوضح وزارة الصحة العامة أنها تعمل مع كافة الجهات المعنية الأخرى على ضمان تطبيق أعلى معايير سلامة ومأمونية الغذاء.
