Katara Cinema officially opens with four VIP theatres

Doha: Katara Cinema is now officially open, dubbed as Qatar’s newest and most luxurious cinema, redefining the public’s movie-watching experience.

“Witness a unique VIP experience in Katara cultural neighbourhood, where you can watch movies in style,” Qatar Film & Film Distribution Company said on its official Facebook page.

It added that the company has a “philosophy of creating a unique movie experience by combining technology and comfort with service matching our guest expectations and sharing our passion for films with the local community.” The cinema is located at the Katara Cultural Village, Building 49.

The Katara Cinema includes four screens, and other high-tech amenities so that it can stay up with the most recent advancements in the film and entertainment industries, and to serve as a venue and a destination for entertainment for all Qatari nationals, residents, and tourists.

All of the cinema’s screens are fitted with Christie Real Laser projectors, which deliver outstanding vibrant image quality. These come with robust Dolby Atmos sound systems, which use ground-breaking spatial audio technology to deliver the most lifelike audio experience.

A feature of the cinema is that guests may order food and drinks from their seats for all screens. The first of its type in Qatar, Katara Cinema also offers exclusive private balconies for a family or group of four.

Moviegoers can choose up to three choices of ticket: normal, which is a single seat; platinum, which is suitable for two people; and lounge, which is excellent for four people. All tickets are available for purchase at the cinema or online at Q-Tickets, prices vary accordingly to type, starting from QR185.

Among the movies now showing at the Katara Cinema are Easter Sunday, Bullet Train, There Are No Saints, Bahebek (Arabic), and Minions 2: The Rise of Gru (Animation).

Earlier, Qatar Film & Film Distribution Company has announced that it has closed one of its cinema branches located at Landmark Mall for operational reasons. It currently operates at The Mall Cineplex at D-Ring Road, and Royal Plaza in Al Sadd. And the Katara Cinema is its latest venture.

وأضافت أن الشركة لديها “فلسفة إنشاء تجربة سينمائية فريدة من خلال الجمع بين التكنولوجيا والراحة والخدمة التي تتوافق مع توقعات ضيوفنا ومشاركة شغفنا بالأفلام مع المجتمع المحلي”. وتقع السينما في الحي الثقافي كتارا، مبنى 49.

وتضم سينما كتارا أربع شاشات، وغيرها من وسائل الراحة عالية التقنية حتى تتمكن من مواكبة أحدث التطورات في صناعة السينما والترفيه، ولتكون مكاناً ووجهة للترفيه لجميع القطريين والمقيمين والسياح.

وتم تجهيز جميع شاشات السينما بأجهزة عرض كريستي ريل ليزر، والتي توفر جودة صورة رائعة ونابضة بالحياة. تأتي هذه مع أنظمة صوت Dolby Atmos القوية، والتي تستخدم تقنية الصوت المكاني الرائدة لتقديم تجربة صوتية أكثر واقعية.

ومن ميزات صالة السينما أنه يمكن للضيوف طلب الأطعمة والمشروبات من مقاعدهم لجميع الشاشات. وتقدم سينما كتارا، شرفات خاصة حصرية لعائلة أو مجموعة من أربعة أفراد، وهي الأولى من نوعها في قطر.

ويمكن لرواد السينما اختيار ما يصل إلى ثلاثة اختيارات للتذكرة: التذكرة العادية، وهي مقعد فردي؛ التذكرة البلاتينية، وهي مناسبة لشخصين؛ وصالة ممتازة لأربعة أشخاص. وجميع التذاكر متاحة للشراء في السينما أو عبر الإنترنت في Q-Tickets، وتختلف الأسعار وفقاً لنوعها، بدءاً من 185 ريالاً قطرياً.

من بين الأفلام التي تُعرض الآن في سينما كتارا ، عيد الفصح الأحد ، قطار الرصاصة ، لا يوجد قديسين ، بعبك (عربي) ، وأفلام المينيون 2: صعود جرو (الرسوم المتحركة).

في وقت سابق ، أعلنت شركة قطر للسينما وتوزيع الأفلام أنها أغلقت أحد فروع السينما الموجودة في لاندمارك مول لأسباب تشغيلية. وهي تعمل حاليًا في The Mall Cineplex على الطريق الدائري الرابع ، ورويال بلازا في السد. وسينما كتارا هي أحدث مشاريعها.
