Qatar University Resumes In-Person Attendance for Semester “Spring 2022”

Doha: Qatar University on Sunday resumed study from inside the campus for the semester (Spring 2022) for all students, faculty and staff.

The University stressed the need to review the schedule and the locations of the lectures prior to arrival in the university campus; and to attend before the start of lectures in sufficient time to avoid being late due to the precautionary measures in place at the entrances to the buildings and classrooms.

The University also stressed the need to show green healthy status on the EHTERAZ app prior to entering the university campus, and to adhere to all precautionary measures including wearing masks, social distancing, sterilization and all other directives issued by the Ministry of Public Health and the University’s Health and Safety Department.

The University also called for adhering to the instructions issued by the concerned authorities in the university regarding cases of infection or contact and the groups most at risk, which will be announced later.

The University noted that that some courses may be taught online exceptionally as required by the public interest. In this case, the faculty member will notify the students after obtaining the approval of the college.

In this regard, Vice President of Qatar University for Student Affairs Dr. Iman Mostafawi noted that her office will receive requests for exemption from physical attendance in campus for the semester for students infected with COVID-19 and students in contact with or those who are subject to quarantine period, in addition to the students most vulnerable to infection.

She indicated that no requests for exceptions from attending lectures for non-mentioned categories will be considered, and the days of absence will be calculated within the maximum allowed in the attendance and absence policy.

الدوحة: استأنفت جامعة قطر الدراسة من داخل الحرم الجامعي يوم /الأحد/ للفصل الدراسي (ربيع 2022) بجميع منتسبيها من طلبة وأعضاء هيئة تدريس وموظفين.

وأكدت إدارة الجامعة على ضرورة مراجعة الجدول الدراسي والتأكد من أماكن المحاضرات قبل الحضور للحرم الجامعي، والحضور قبل بدء المحاضرات بوقت كاف وذلك لتجنب التأخر عن المحاضرة أو الاختبارات بسبب سير الإجراءات الاحترازية في مداخل المباني والقاعات الدراسية.

كما أكدت على ضرورة ظهور لون الحالة الأخضر في تطبيق احتراز قبل الدخول للحرم الجامعي، والمحافظة على ارتداء الكمامة والتباعد الاجتماعي والتعقيم المستمر وغيرها من التوجيهات الصادرة من وزارة الصحة العامة ومن قسم الصحة والسلامة في الجامعة خلال التواجد في الحرم الجامعي. والالتزام بالإرشادات الصادرة عن الجهات المعنية داخل الجامعة بالنسبة لحالات الإصابة أو المخالطة والفئات الأكثر عرضة للخطر، حيث سيتم إعلانها تباعا.

وقالت إنه قد يتم تدريس بعض المقررات عن بعد استثنائيا وفق ما تقتضيه المصلحة العامة، وفي هذه الحالة سيقوم عضو هيئة التدريس بإخطار الطلبة بعد الحصول على موافقة الكلية.

وفي هذا الصدد، أكدت الدكتورة إيمان مصطفوي نائب رئيس جامعة قطر لشؤون الطلاب، أن مكتبها سيستقبل طلبات الاستثناء من الحضور المباشر للمحاضرات في الحرم الجامعي لفصل ربيع 2022 لـ (الطلاب المصابين بفيروس كورونا) و (الطلبة المخالطين أو الذين يخضعون لفترة الحجر الصحي). بالإضافة إلى (الطلبة الأكثر عرضة للإصابة بفيروس كورونا ومضاعفاته من أصحاب الأمراض المزمنة)، مع التأكيد على مراعاة الإرشادات والتعليمات والإجراءات المتعلقة بذلك.

وأشارت إلى أنه لن يتم النظر في أي طلبات استثناء من حضور المحاضرات لغير الفئات المذكورة، وسيتم احتساب أيام الغياب ضمن الحد الأقصى المسموح به في سياسة الحضور والغياب.

وبالنسبة للطلبة العائدين من السفر، وتبين إصابتهم بفيروس كورونا /كوفيد-19/ أو طلب منهم البقاء في الحجر الصحي بحسب الإجراءات المتبعة في الدولة، أوضحت الدكتورة إيمان أنه سيتم احتساب فترة غيابهم عن المحاضرات ضمن الحد الأقصى المسموح به في سياسة الحضور والغياب (25%)، وليس إضافة لها.
