Parents to Al-Sharq: Our children are beaten and insulted in this Arab school

Doha: A number of parents complained about the policy of a school run by an Arab community where their children are beaten and insulted by teachers at this school.
They called on the Ministry of Education and Higher Education to intervene urgently to put an end to such unacceptable conduct, especially since a large number of their student children are evading school for fear of being beaten or insulted in front of their colleagues.
Speaking to Al-Sharq, they said they had spoken to the school administration repeatedly to direct staff and teachers to deal respectfully and well with students, and to stop beating or cursing them, but the school administration did not act and insisted on not intervening.
They pointed out that these actions, which are the beating and profanity done to students in front of their colleagues, are not limited to a particular stage or class, but include all classes and stages of the school in Doha.
Al-Sharq obtained a copy of the chats and complaints on “WhatsApp” for parents as they discussed the situation of their children, what happened to them, their daily situation and the impact of their psyche after returning from school.
They suggested allocatinge a supervisory office of the Ministry of Education in the school that would supervise the teaching process within the school, meet with the students, listen to them and their complaints against this school and its teaching staff.

الدوحة: اشتكى عدد من أولياء الأمور من السياسة المتبعة في إحدى المدارس التي تديرها إحدى الجاليات العربية. حيث يتعرض أبناءهم للضرب والشتم من قبل المدرسين في هذه المدرسة.
وطالبوا وزارة التربية والتعليم والتعليم العالي بالتدخل العاجل للحد من هذه التصرفات، سيما وأن عددا كبيرا من أبنائهم الطلاب باتوا يتهربون من الذهاب إلى المدرسة خشية تعرضهم للضرب أو الشتم أمام زملائهم.
وأكدوا خلال حديثهم لـ الشرق أنهم تحدثوا إلى إدارة المدرسة مرارا وتكرار لتوجيه الموظفين والمدرسين نحو التعامل بشكل محترم وحَسن مع الطلاب، والكف عن ضربهم أو شتمهم، إلا أن إدارة المدرسة لم تحرك ساكنا وأصرت على عدم التدخل.
ولفتوا إلى أن هذه التصرفات المتمثلة بالضرب والتلفظ بألفاظ نابية على الطلاب أمام زملائهم غير مقتصرة على مرحلة أو صف معين بل تشمل جميع الصفوف والمراحل الدراسية في المدرسة المعنية بالدوحة.
وحصلت الشرق على نسخة من المحادثات والشكاوى على “قروبات الواتساب” لأولياء الأمور وهم يتناقشون فيما بينهم حول وضع أبنائهم وما حل بهم وحالتهم اليومية وتأثر نفسياتهم بعد الرجوع من المدرسة.
واقترحوا وجود مكتب رقابي تابع للوزارة في المدرسة من شأنه الإشراف على العملية التدريسية داخل المدرسة والالتقاء مع الأبناء الطلاب والاستماع لهم ولشكواهم ضد هذه المدرسة والطاقم التدريسي فيها الذي يعاملهم بأسلوب سيئ للغاية ولا يليق بالبيئة الدراسية.
