Doha: The Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) on Thursday reported that 85% of Qatar’s total population are now fully vaccinated with two doses.

A total of 4,901,128 Covid-19 vaccine doses have been administered in the country since the start of the National Covid-19 Vaccination Programme, with 6,192 doses given in the past 24 hours. Meanwhile, the MoPH yesterday reported 145 new confirmed cases of Covid-19 in the country, including 118 among the community and 27 among travellers. The ministry also recorded 88 recoveries from the virus during the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of recoveries in Qatar to 239,235.

Current COVID-19 Status:
– In recent weeks the combined impact of COVID-19 restrictions and increasing vaccination rates, and the overwhelming support of the community, has resulted in a consistent reduction in the number of new daily infections in the country.
– However, it is still important to be cautious as the second wave is not yet over and there are still two highly contagious and highly virulent strains of the virus that are actively circulating in the community.
– The fourth phase of the gradual lifting of precautionary restrictions began on Sunday, Oct. 3, and is part of a four-stage plan to gradually lift the precautionary restrictions imposed in Qatar due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
– It is important during the current period that all members of society, including those who have received the vaccination, continue to wear masks as recommended and continue to adhere to social distancing.

– With COVID-19 still a threat to our health here in Qatar, it is important for everyone to play their role in controlling the virus by following precautionary measures:
– Adherence to physical distancing.
– Avoiding close contact with others, crowded places and confined closed spaces where other people congregate.
– Wearing a face mask.

– People should take the COVID-19 vaccine at the earliest opportunity when their turn comes.

الدوحة: أعلنت وزارةُ الصحة العامّة، يوم الخميس، تسجيل 118 حالةً جديدةً مؤكّدة بفيروس كورونا «كوفيد-19» ضمن المُجتمع، و27 حالة ضمن المسافرين. كما أعلنت الوزارةُ شفاءَ 88 مصابًا، خلال 24 ساعة، ليصل إجمالي حالات الشفاء في دولة قطر إلى 239235. وأصدرت وزارةُ الصحةِ العامّةِ بيانًا حول مستجدات فيروس «كوفيد-19» في قطر، أوضحت فيه أنه تم إعطاء 4901128 جرعة من لقاحات «كوفيد-19» لأفراد المجتمع منذ بداية برنامج التطعيم، كما تم إعطاء 6192 جرعة من لقاحات «كوفيد-19» خلال 24 ساعة، أيضًا تلقّى 85% من إجمالي السكان تطعيمهم بالكامل بجرعتَي اللقاح.

وحول الموقف الحالي لجائحة «كوفيد-19»، قال البيانُ: إن النتائج الإيجابية للقيود المفروضة الخاصة بجائحة كورونا «كوفيد19» وتزايد وتيرة التطعيم ضد الفيروس مقرونًا بالدعم منقطع النظير الذي يقدّمه الجمهور، أدّت جميعًا إلى خفض معدّلات الإصابات اليومية بعدوى كورونا «كوفيد19» في دولة قطر خلال الأسابيع القليلة الماضية، وأضاف: إنه وعلى الرغم من انخفاض معدلات الإصابات اليومية يتعيّن علينا اتخاذ أقصى درجات الحذر باعتبار أن الموجة الثانية من الجائحة ما زالت قائمة خصوصًا مع تفشّي اثنتَين من السلالات المتحوّرة من فيروس كورونا «كوفيد19» في الدولة، اللتَين تعتبران أشدّ ضراوةً وأسرع انتشارًا. وقال البيانُ: إنّ المرحلة الرابعة من الرفع التدريجي للقيود الاحترازية بدأت يوم الأحد الموافق 3 أكتوبر 2021، وذلك في إطار خُطة من أربع مراحل للرفع التدريجي للقيود الاحترازية المفروضة في دولة قطر بسبب جائحة فيروس كورونا «كوفيد-19»، أيضًا من المهم خلال الفترة الحالية أن يستمر جميع أفراد المجتمع بمن فيهم الأشخاص الذين تلقوا التطعيم في ارتداء الكِمامات على النحو الموصى به ومواصلة الالتزام بالتباعد الاجتماعي.
