No change in academic calendar: Education Ministry

Doha: The Ministry of Education and Higher Education confirmed that there is no change to the 2021-2022 academic calendar. 

The Ministry shared its academic calendar on social media adding that school dates and exams schedules are fixed according to what is approved in the school calendar for the current academic year.

The Ministry stated this on its Twitter account: “The Ministry of Education and Higher Education brings to the attention of the public that classes and exams are scheduled as previously set on the school calendar for the academic year 2021-2022.”

It further added that the public should seek information from the official sources and media platforms of the Ministry.

The Ministry’s confirmation of the academic calendar comes after certain inaccurate posts about the suspension of schools became viral on social media.

As per the academic calendar, public school exams for the first semester for grades 10,11,12 will be held from December 1 to 12; while those for grades 1-9 will be between December 1 to 9. There will be a half-yearly academic vacation from December 19 to 30, with schools restarting on January 2, 2022.

ودعت الوزارةُ عبر موقعها على «تويتر» الجميعَ إلى أخذ المعلومات من المصادر الرسميّة والمنصّات الإعلاميّة التابعة للوزارة. الراية تنشر التقويم المدرسي المعتمد للعام الدراسي الحالي.
