The most prominent decisions of the weekly cabinet meeting

Doha: HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al-Thani chaired the Cabinet’s regular meeting held at its seat at the Amiri Diwan on Wednesday.

Following the meeting, HE Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Sulaiti issued the following statement:

At the outset of the meeting, HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior welcomed their Excellencies the new ministers and congratulated them on the precious trust that HH the Amir gave them, wishing them success in performing their duties, and expressing thanks and appreciation to the former ministers for their appreciable effort in the service of the country.

HE the Prime Minister stressed that the recent amendments reflect the vision of the wise leadership in defining the priorities of the government’s work in the next phase to carry out its duty towards the homeland and the citizen in order to achieve the objectives of Qatar National Vision 2030.

Afterwards, the Cabinet considered the topics listed on its agenda as follows:

First – Approval of:

1- A draft law amending some provisions of the code of criminal procedure promulgated by Law No. 23 of 2004.

2- A draft decision of the Minister of Interior regulating the issuance of a certificate of good conduct.

Second – Approval of:

1- A draft agreement regulating the employment of workers between the government of the State of Qatar and the government of the Republic of Mozambique.

2- A draft letter of intent on joint cooperation between the Civil Aviation Authority of the State of Qatar and the Air Navigation Services Agency of the Republic of Poland.

Third – The Cabinet reviewed the results of the following meetings and took the appropriate decision:

1- The meetings of the committees of the ministers of education and the ministers of higher education and scientific research in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries (September 2021, via videoconferencing).

2- The meetings of the committees of labor ministers and ministers of social affairs and development in the GCC countries (September 2021, via videoconferencing).

الدوحة: ترأس معالي الشيخ خالد بن خليفة بن عبدالعزيز آل ثاني رئيس مجلس الوزراء ووزير الداخلية، الاجتماع العادي الذي عقده المجلس ظهر يوم الأمس بمقره في الديوان الأميري.

وعقب الاجتماع أدلى سعادة السيد محمد بن عبدالله السليطي وزير الدولة لشؤون مجلس الوزراء بما يلي:

في بداية الاجتماع رحب معالي رئيس مجلس الوزراء ووزير الداخلية، بأصحاب السعادة الوزراء الجدد وهنأهم على الثقة الغالية التي أولاهم إياها حضرة صاحب السمو أمير البلاد المفدى “حفظه الله ورعاه” متمنياً لهم التوفيق والنجاح في أداء مهامهم، ومعرباً عن الشكر والتقدير للوزراء السابقين على ما بذلوه من جهود مقدرة في خدمة الوطن.

وأكد معاليه أن التعديلات الأخيرة تعكس رؤية القيادة الرشيدة في تحديد أولويات عمل الحكومة في المرحلة القادمة والقيام بواجبها تجاه الوطن والمواطن تحقيقاً لأهداف رؤية قطر الوطنية 2030.

وبعد ذلك نظر مجلس الوزراء في الموضوعات المدرجة على جدول الأعمال على النحو التالي:

أولاً- الموافقة على:

1- مشروع قانون بتعديل بعض أحكام قانون الإجراءات الجنائية الصادر بالقانون رقم (23) لسنة 2004.

2- مشروع قرار وزير الداخلية بشأن تنظيم إصدار شهادة حسن السيرة والسلوك.

ثانياً- الموافقة على:

1- مشروع اتفاقية تنظيم استخدام العمال بين حكومة دولة قطر وحكومة جمهورية موزمبيق.

2- مشروع خطاب النوايا بشأن التعاون المشترك بين الهيئة العامة للطيران المدني في دولة قطر ووكالة خدمات الملاحة الجوية في جمهورية بولندا.

ثالثاً- استعرض مجلس الوزراء نتائج الاجتماعات التالية واتخذ بشأنها القرار المناسب:

1- اجتماعي لجنتي وزراء التربية والتعليم، ووزراء التعليم العالي والبحث العلمي بدول مجلس التعاون لدول الخليج العربية (سبتمبر 2021، عبر تقنية الاتصال المرئي).

2- اجتماعي لجنتي وزراء العمل ووزراء الشؤون/التنمية الاجتماعية بدول مجلس التعاون لدول الخليج العربية (سبتمبر 2021، عبر تقنية الاتصال المرئي).
