Amir Holds Phone Call with Spanish Prime Minister

Doha: HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani held a telephone conversation with HE Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Spain Pedro Sanchez Perez on Wednesday evening.
During the phone call, HH the Amir expressed the State of Qatar’s solidarity with the Kingdom of Spain after the lava that flowed on the Spanish island of La Palma, and Qatar’s support in the wake of this disaster.
The phone call also touched on cooperation ties between the two countries and prospects for promoting them, in addition to the latest regional and international developments, mainly in Afghanistan. In this context, HE the Spanish Prime Minister expressed thanks and appreciation to HH the Amir for the role of the State of Qatar and its effective contribution to the evacuation of Spanish nationals, and its efforts in supporting the peace process in Afghanistan.

الدوحة: أجرى حضرة صاحب السمو الشيخ تميم بن حمد آل ثاني أمير البلاد المفدى، اتصالا هاتفيا مساء الأمس مع دولة السيد بيدرو سانشيز بيريز رئيس وزراء مملكة إسبانيا الصديقة.
وفي بداية الاتصال، أعرب سمو الأمير المفدى عن تضامن دولة قطر مع مملكة إسبانيا جراء الحمم البركانية التي تدفقت على جزيرة لا بالما الإسبانية ودعمها جراء هذه الكارثة.
كما تناول الاتصال علاقات التعاون بين البلدين وأوجه توطيدها، إضافة إلى أبرز التطورات الإقليمية والدولية لاسيما مستجدات الأوضاع في أفغانستان، وفي هذا الصدد أعرب دولة رئيس الوزراء الإسباني عن شكره وتقديره، لسمو الأمير المفدى على دور دولة قطر ومساهمتها الفعّالة في عمليات إجلاء الرعايا الإسبان، وجهودها في دعم عملية السّلام في أفغانستان.
