Placing gas cylinders on streets; a dangerous behavior

Doha: Drivers of gas-cylinders-distributing cars continue to exploit the sidewalks adjacent to streets and residential areas to place these cylinders for sale, ignoring security and safety measures and the possibility of a driver colliding with them.

A number of drivers called on the concerned authorities to reduce this phenomenon, especially since it distorts the civilized appearance of residential areas and streets, stressing that the sale of gas cylinders should be only in shops or via the transportation of designated cars, to roam the residential areas to be displayed to the population.

They stressed the importance of introducing workers and drivers to the measures and requirements for the distribution of gas cylinders, and drew their attention to the danger of parking cars loaded with cylinders in residential areas and streets, demanding that the concerned authorities penalize companies that pay their workers to display cylinders for sale on the streets.

الدوحة: يواصل سائقو السيّارات الخاصة بتوزيع أسطوانات الغاز استغلالَ الأرصفة المجاورة للشوارع والمناطق السكنية لعرض تلك الأسطوانات للبيع، مُتجاهلين إجراءات الأمن والسلامة واحتمالية اصطدام أحد السائقين بها.

وطالب عددٌ من السائقين الجهات المعنية بالحدّ من هذه الظاهرة، لا سيّما أنها تشوّه المظهر الحضاري للمناطق السكنية والشوارع، مؤكدين أن بيع أسطوانات الغاز يجب أن يكون فقط في المحلات التجارية أو عبر قيام السيارات المخصصة بنقلها، بالتجوّل في المناطق السكنيّة لعرضها على السكان.

وشدّدوا على أهمية تعريف العمال والسائقين بالتدابير والاشتراطات الخاصة بتوزيع أسطوانات الغاز، ولفت نظرهم حول خطورة إيقاف السيارات المحملة بأسطوانات في المناطق السكنية والشوارع، مُطالبين الجهات المعنية بمخالفة الشركات التي تدفع عمالها لعرض الأسطوانات بغرض بيعها في الشوارع.
