DIFI Praises Draft Decision on Part-Time System in Public Agencies

Doha: Doha International Family Institute (DIFI), a member of Qatar Foundation, applauded the Cabinet’s approval the draft decision on the terms and conditions of the part-time system in public agencies.
Executive Director of DIFI Dr. Sharifa Al Emadi said that enhancing and developing a capable and motivating workforce is an essential step to make progress in establishing the human development pillar in the Qatar National Vision 2030.
“Increasing professional support opportunities for Qatari women helps them greatly in achieving a balance between their professional and family obligations. It also encourages more Qatari women to pursue a professional experience, and actively participate in building our country,” Dr. Al Emadi stressed.
“The decision taken by Qatars government moves in this direction, so we extend our sincere thanks to our government for the importance it attaches to ensuring Qatari families attain a work-life balance, and its keenness to guarantee the highest levels of family welfare,” she added.
Doha International Family Institute had conducted a study, entitled “Work-Family Balance: Challenges, Experiences and Implications for Families in Qatar”, which aimed at more flexible working hours for Qatari women to help Qatar-based families and individuals balance their caregiving responsibilities and work requirements.

وقالت الدكتورة شريفة العمادي، المدير التنفيذي للمعهد إن تعزيز وتطوير قوة عاملة متمكنة وطموحة يعد خطوة أساسية نحو المضي قدما في تعزيز ركيزة التنمية البشرية في رؤية قطر الوطنية 2030 ، مشيرة إلى أن زيادة فرص الدعم المهني للمرأة القطرية ” يساعدها بشكل كبير في تحقيق التوازن بين التزاماتها المهنية والأسرية، ويشجع المزيد من القطريات على خوض التجربة المهنية، والمشاركة الفعالة في بناء دولتنا الحبيبة” مؤكدة أن القرار الذي اتخذه مجلس الوزراء يصب في هذا الاتجاه.
وكان معهد الدوحة الدولي للأسرة قد أجرى دراسة بحثية بعنوان ( التوازن بين العمل والأسرة: التحديات والتجارب والآثار المترتبة على الأسرة في قطر)، وذلك بهدف إحداث تغيير نحو مزيد من المرونة في ساعات العمل للموظفات القطريات بهدف مساعدة الأسر والأفراد على تحقيق التوازن بين احتياجات رعاية الأسرة ومتطلبات العمل.
