Argentine star Lionel Messi set a new record in the world of football, becoming the player with the largest number of shirts sold in 24 hours in history, and also making the highest profit from selling sports equipment during the same hours, al-Jazeera reported.
Paris Saint-Germain sold more than 832,000 of Messi’s shirts in 24 hours.
If a single shirt is sold for 106 euros – priced in online stores – the total amount amounts to more than 88 million euros.
If the shirt is sold – at the price of regular stores – for 160 euros, the total amount is 133 million euros.
Specialists say the club’s share of selling t-shirts could be as high as 10%, meaning that in one day the Parisian club received more than 10 million euros from the sale of Messi’s shirts.
Messi’s annual salary with the Parisian team amounts to 35 million euros.

وباع باريس سان جيرمان أكثر من 832 ألف قميص لميسي خلال 24 ساعة.
وفي حال بيع القميص الواحد بـ106 يوروهات – سعره في المتاجر الإلكترونية – يعني أن المبلغ الإجمالي يصل إلى أكثر من 88 مليون يورو.
أما إذا بيع القميص – بحسب سعر المتاجر العادية- مقابل 160 يورو، يعني أن المبلغ الإجمالي وصل إلى 133 مليون يورو.
ويقول متخصصون في هذا المجال، إن النسبة التي يتقاضاها النادي من بيع القمصان قد تصل إلى 10%، أي أن النادي الباريسي حصل في يوم واحد على أكثر من 10 ملايين يورو من بيع قمصان ميسي.
يذكر أن راتب ميسي السنوي مع الفريق الباريسي يصل إلى 35 مليون يورو.
