U.S. EXPERT WARNS: Delta mutation will reach everyone who is not vaccinated

One of the leading vaccine experts in the United States, Dr. Gregory Boland, has issued a stern warning to his country’s citizens that the Delta mutation of the Coronavirus is very strong and rapidly spreading and will reach everyone who is not immunized.
“There is no doubt that we will see an increase in the number of cases,” Dr. Gregory Boland said in an interview with an American media outlet, according to Al Jazeera.
“Don’t be fooled. This is a completely different kind. It will find you. “This virus will find everyone who is not immune, and this is dangerous for everyone.”
“The longer we spend time with a large number of unimmunized people, the greater the risk of developing a new type of virus that avoids vaccine immunity, thus making us the worst enemies of ourselves,” he said.
Boland also expressed particular concern about younger children who cannot receive the vaccine, as well as adolescents whose parents are particularly opposing vaccination “in light of the increasing symptoms of the disease and hospitalization among young people,” and therefore strongly agrees with the American Academy of Pediatrics’ recommendation this week that children should wear a mask when they return to school whether they are vaccinated or not.
The most transferable Delta mutation now accounts for about 83% of new Covid-19 cases in the United States, with the majority of deaths occurring in unvaccinated people.
Last Tuesday, the average number of deaths in the United States was 239 deaths per day from the virus, nearly 48% more than the previous week.

وقال الدكتور غريغوري بولاند – في لقاء مع إحدى وسائل الإعلام الأمريكية بحسب موقع “الجزيرة” : “ليس هناك أدنى شك في أننا سنشهد زيادة في أعداد الإصابات”.
وحذر بولاند غير المحصنين، قائلا “لا تنخدع. هذا نوع مختلف تمامًا. سوف يجدكم. سيجد هذا الفيروس كل شخص ليس محصنًا، وهذا خطر على الجميع”.
وأوضح “كلما قضينا وقتًا أطول مع عدد كبير من الأشخاص غير المحصنين، زاد خطر تطوير نوع جديد من الفيروس يتجنب المناعة التي يحدثها اللقاح، وبذلك نكون ألد أعداء أنفسنا”.
كما أعرب بولاند عن قلقه بشكل خاص بشأن الأطفال الأصغر الذين لا يستطيعون تلقي اللقاح، وكذلك المراهقين الذين يعارض آباؤهم تطعيمهم خاصة “في ظل ما نشهده من تزايد للأعراض الشديدة للمرض ودخول المستشفيات بين الشباب الصغير”، وبالتالي فهو يوافق بشدة على توصية الأكاديمية الأمريكية لطب الأطفال هذا الأسبوع بضرورة ارتداء الأطفال قناعًا عند عودتهم إلى المدرسة سواء تم تطعيمهم أم لا.
