Residents of Jelaiah demand the construction of a mosque

Doha: A number of residents of Jelaiah area called on the concerned authority to replace the temporary Port Cabin mosque with a permanent one to accommodate the large numbers of worshippers, stressing that they are forced to perform Friday prayer in the vicinity.

They stressed that mosques are important buildings that are supposed to be carried out by the concerned authority as soon as the population begin to move to the new areas, and noted that most of the new residential areas face the same problem, and that residents are forced to perform prayers in temporary mosques until the establishment of mosques, which construction begin years after the population had moved there.

الدوحة: دعا عددٌ من سكان منطقة جليعة الجهة المعنيّة باستبدال مسجد «البورت كابن» المؤقت بآخر دائم لاستيعاب الأعداد الكبيرة من المُصلين، مؤكّدين أنهم يضطرون لتأدية صلاة الجمعة في المناطق المجاورة.

وأكدوا أن المساجد من المباني المهمة التي يفترض أن تقوم بها الجهة المعنية فور بدء السكان بالانتقال إلى المناطق الجديدة، ونوّهوا إلى أن معظم المناطق السكنيّة الجديدة تواجه نفس المشكلة، ويضطر السكان للصلاة في المساجد المؤقتة لحين البدء في إنشاء المساجد، التي يبدأ العمل بها بعد سنوات من انتقال السكّان إليها.
