مجلس قطر للمباني الخضراء يدعو الباحثين لتقديم ملخصاتهم لمؤتمره الرابع
Doha: The 4th Annual Qatar Green Building Conference 2018 under a theme of ‘The Impact’ will be held from October 28 to 30 at the Qatar National Convention Centre, Qatar Green Building Council (QGBC).
The conference, held under the patronage of HE Sheikha Hind bint Hamad Al Thani, Vice Chairperson and CEO, QF, is calling for presentation abstracts on a range of topics including Green Operation in Hospitality, Livable and Resilient Cities, Case Studies from Hot Climates, Sustainability for Knowledge Economy, Green Corporate – Case Study, and Nudging for Behavior Change.
QGBC will nominate a selected number of abstracts to be developed into peer-reviewed articles for publication by a third party. Abstracts should be submitted by the deadline of August 30, with a decision to be made on chosen abstracts due on September 13.
The Qatar Green Building Conference is the flagship event of the 3rd annual Qatar Sustainability Week 2018, held under the patronage of the Prime Minister and Interior Minister H E Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani.
The conference will focus on the significant challenges of environmental sustainability that every developed country should meet for a more sustainable quality of life, as well as promoting practices and solutions to build a better environment for Qatar, the Arabian Gulf region and beyond.
“The Qatar Green Building Conference offers a lot to professionals in the field of sustainability and we are proud to see this conference grow to become an annual focal point for all those working towards a greener and more sustainable Qatar,” said Engineer Meshal Al Shamari, QGBC Director.
“Our goal is to support the overall health and sustainability of the environment, the people, and help to build a diverse and competitive economy in Qatar for generations to come. Our conference will be our platform to spread the word to the world.”
دعا مجلس قطر للمباني الخضراء، عضو مؤسسة قطر للتربية والعلوم وتنمية المجتمع، الباحثين لتقديم ملخصاتهم إلى مؤتمر قطر السنوي الرابع للمباني الخضراء 2018، الذي سيُعقد بمركز قطر الوطني للمؤتمرات، خلال الفترة من 28 – 29 أكتوبر المقبل.
كما حث المجلس، في بيان له اليوم، الراغبين في المشاركة على تقديم ملخصاتهم البحثية في مواضيع الإدارة المستدامة للفنادق، والمدن المستدامة “نماذج عملية من المدن ذات المناخ الحار”، والاستدامة في الاقتصاد المعرفي، وقصص نجاح للشركات المستدامة، والتحفيز كأداة للتغيير الإيجابي للسلوك.
ويركز المؤتمر الذي يعد الفعالية الرئيسية في أسبوع قطر السنوي للاستدامة، /والذي يُعقد خلال الفترة من 27 أكتوبر إلى 3 نوفمبر 2018/ على التحديات القائمة للاستدامة البيئية التي ينبغي على كل بلد متقدم مواجهتها من أجل حياة أفضل، بالإضافة إلى تعزيز الممارسات، وإيجاد الحلول لبناء بيئة أفضل في قطر والمنطقة.
وسيعرض مؤتمر قطر السنوي الرابع للمباني الخضراء التقدم الذي حققته دولة قطر في تطبيق الحلول المبتكرة للتحديات البيئية، من خلال تناول مواضيع المدن المستقبلية المستدامة، والاقتصاد الأخضر، والاستدامة كأسلوب حياة.
وفي هذا الصدد، قال المهندس مشعل الشمري، مدير مجلس قطر للمباني الخضراء، إن مؤتمر قطر للمباني الخضراء أصبح وجهة مهمة لخبراء الاستدامة والمهتمين بهذا القطاع، للمشاركة والعمل من أجل استدامة دولة قطر.. مشيرا إلى أن الهدف من هذا الحدث السنوي الكبير هو دعم الصحة العامة واستدامة البيئة، والأفراد، والأمن الاقتصادي في قطر، وأن يكون منصة لإيصال صوت المشاركين إلى العالم.
يذكر أن الموعد النهائي لتقديم الملخصات هو شهر أغسطس المقبل، حيث سيجري إخطار المتحدثين بالقرارات المتعلقة بالملخصات المقدمة.
