The most prominent decisions of the weekly cabinet meeting

Doha: HE Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al-Thani chaired the Cabinet’s regular meeting held at its seat at the Amiri Diwan on Wednesday.

Following the meeting, HE Minister of Municipality and Environment and Acting Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Abdullah bin Abdulaziz bin Turki Al Subaei issued the following statement:

At the beginning of the meeting, the Cabinet conveyed its highest congratulations and blessings to HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani on the occasion of the approaching Eid Al-Adha, asking Allah Almighty on this occasion good health and happiness for His Highness, and for Qatar and its people more splendor, goodness, development and prosperity under the wise leadership of HH the Amir.

The Cabinet was briefed by HE Minister of Public Health on the latest developments in efforts to curb COVID-19. The Cabinet affirmed the continuation of work with the procedures and precautionary measures that have been taken in order to combat this pandemic.

Then, the Cabinet considered the topics on the agenda as follows:

First – Approval of a draft decision of the Chairman of Qatar for Tourism to consider holiday homes as hotel establishments.

Under the project, holiday homes are considered hotel establishments, in accordance with the provisions of Law No. 20 of 2018 regarding tourism regulation and its provisions apply. Holiday homes mean furnished housing units prepared for residence, and provided with utilities, whether they are rooms, apartments, houses, villas or camps, and they are rented as a complete or divided unit on a daily or weekly basis or any temporary period not exceeding 30 consecutive days.

Second – The Cabinet reviewed the following topics and took the appropriate decisions:

1- The report prepared by the Ministry of Municipality and Environment on the results of the work accomplished to implement solutions and recommendations regarding building permits and the procedures for issuing them.

2- Results of the 54th session of the Council of Arab Health Ministers.

3- Results of the 74th session of the World Health Assembly, and the 149th session of the Executive Board of the World Health Organization.

الدوحة: ترأس معالي الشيخ خالد بن خليفة بن عبدالعزيز آل ثاني ، رئيس مجلس الوزراء ووزير الداخلية الاجتماع العادي الذي عقده المجلس يوم الأمس بمقره في الديوان الأميري .

وعقب الاجتماع أدلى سعادة الدكتور عبدالله بن عبدالعزيز بن تركي السبيعي ، وزير البلدية والبيئة والقائم بأعمال وزير الدولة لشؤون مجلس الوزراء بما يلي :

في بداية الاجتماع رفع المجلس أسمى آيات التهاني والتبريكات إلى مقام حضرة صاحب السمو الشيخ تميم بن حمد آل ثاني أمير البلاد المفدى “حفظه الله” بمناسبة قرب حلول عيد الأضحى المبارك، سائلا الله العلي القدير أن يعيد هذه المناسبة المباركة على سموه بموفور الصحة والعافية، وعلى بلادنا العزيزة وشعبها الكريم بمزيد من العز والخير والنماء والرخاء والازدهار في ظل قيادة سموه الحكيمة ، وعلى الأمتين العربية والإسلامية بالخير واليمن والبركات.

ثم استمع المجلس إلى الشرح الذي قدمه سعادة وزير الصحة العامة حول آخر المستجدات والتطورات للحد من انتشار فيروس كورونا /كوفيد-19/ ، وأكد المجلس على استمرار العمل بما تم اتخاذه من إجراءات وتدابير احترازية في سبيل مكافحة هذا الوباء.

وبعد ذلك نظر مجلس الوزراء في الموضوعات المدرجة على جدول الأعمال على النحو التالي :

أولا – الموافقة على مشروع قرار رئيس قطر للسياحة باعتبار بيوت العطلات من المنشآت الفندقية.

وبموجب المشروع تعتبر بيوت العطلات من المنشآت الفندقية ، وفقا لأحكام القانون رقم /20/ لسنة 2018 بشأن تنظيم السياحة وتسري عليها أحكامه ، ويقصد ببيوت العطلات الوحدات السكنية المفروشة والمعدة للإقامة ، والمزودة بالمرافق ، سواء كانت من الغرف أو الشقق أو البيوت أو الفلل أو المخيمات ، ويتم تأجيرها كوحدة كاملة أو مجزأة بشكل يومي أو أسبوعي أو أي مدة مؤقتة لا تزيد على ثلاثين يوماً متتالية.

ثانيا – استعرض مجلس الوزراء الموضوعات التالية واتخذ بشأنها القرارات المناسبة :

1- التقرير الذي أعدته وزارة البلدية والبيئة حول نتائج ما تم إنجازه من أعمال لتطبيق وتنفيذ الحلول والتوصيات حول رخص البناء وإجراءات إصدارها.

2- نتائج أعمال الدورة /54/ لمجلس وزراء الصحة العرب.

3- نتائج الدورة /74/ لجمعية الصحة العالمية ، والدورة /149/ للمجلس التنفيذي لمنظمة الصحة العالمية.
